October 12, 201114 yr Me too, but it's sad because the JS41 is the only propeller/turboprop AC I really enjoy flying with.......and I'm mostly a jet engine guy. When I bought it I hoped in additional development.... Sebastiano Piscitello Air France VA, KLM 737 Captain
October 14, 201114 yr Geez, let them fix 737 then await j41 news. Already been mentioned hat sp2 will be worked on after 737
October 14, 201114 yr Geez, let them fix 737 then await j41 news. Already been mentioned hat sp2 will be worked on after 737 Geez? Really... hasn't this SP been talked about for well over a year?
October 15, 201114 yr Geez? Really... hasn't this SP been talked about for well over a year? Correct and it is has also been mentioned several times throughout this year that the dev team will look at it after the 737
November 12, 201114 yr I just got the flickering white boxes for the first time yesterday. I turned the icing effects off and they went away. But, I LIKE the icing effects. I too hope they fix the problem with SP2. Great company though. PMDG has raised the bar in this hobby. Thank you PMDG.Cheers,Bill in Colorado "A good landing is one you can walk away from. November 13, 201114 yr Correct and it is has also been mentioned several times throughout this year that the dev team will look at it after the 737I have both the Jetstream and the NGX. I bought the Jetstream nearly two years ago and if I fly from large add on airports I get the flashing boxes in the VC. I have patiently waited for this to be sorted and I hope it can in the near future, especially as the NGX service pack has been released. Saying it will be done after the NGX is am sorry not good enough. If you remember all the fuss made over the delayed release of the NGX and people were keen to point out that at that stage no money had been spent on that product. I agree with that sentiment but I would also like to point out that those of us who bought the J41 have laid out money quite a long while ago so it would be good for PMDG to inform us paying customers when we can expect the service pack Regards Nixon Thomas
November 13, 201114 yr I agree with you Nixon. I thought that the J41 SP would be worked on after the initial release of the NGX, not have to wait for several updates to be release with it before they even consider following through with the J41 fix! Johnny Rosario
November 13, 201114 yr I haven't given up hope yet.By the way they are pushing for the 777 when they haven't even mastered the 737.I would tend to think there is no one left for the poor old J41 Trevor Golding
November 13, 201114 yr Really, 777!!! There was a time when PMDG stood for quality rather than quantity, that was what set them above the rest. The more you try to push out more products without correcting the problems you currently have, the more you start looking like some cheap outfit. Johnny Rosario
November 14, 201114 yr I haven't given up hope yet.By the way they are pushing for the 777 when they haven't even mastered the 737.I would tend to think there is no one left for the poor old J41 I think you may be right but I hope you are wrong!! Regards Nixon Thomas
November 14, 201114 yr I guess they made their money on it and don't think it's worth the effort to support it. I read somewhere that they are also planning a Dash-8, so maybe they're putting an effort toward that. Anybody that still wants a regional turboprop should probably hold-off until they either decide to revitalize the product and put out an SP2, or until they create another turbo-prop (which will hopefully be a refinement from the lessons learned on the J41, and what a J41 SP2 should be).
November 14, 201114 yr Very pessimistic idea, but i agree.J41 is not popular than other, and during waiting SP2 PMDG not mention any news(1 year+)...let me thinking SP2 will release?.. Jia-Hsing Fu
November 14, 201114 yr It would be helpful if someone from PMDG could give an update on SP2. Regards Nixon Thomas
November 25, 201114 yr It would be helpful if someone from PMDG could give an update on SP2.Hi.Me too, I would appreciate a small statement from PMDG if they are actually working on SP2. I know that there are no "release dates" (although there were quite some specific dates for the 737 NGX and the fixpacks), but at least some information if SP2 will be done and if it will be released in the near future. With all the energy they put into the 737 and now even the 777, I hope that PMDG did not forget the JS41. I still love this bird, because it is so different than "big" planes with a full blown FMS (like in the 737).Regards,Martin Martin Renner
November 25, 201114 yr It would be helpful if someone from PMDG could give an update on SP2.Perhaps it will get a mention when the 'new product offerings' are announced (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/354608-sp1b-news-a-bit-of-stuffing-to-go-with-your-meal/) but as it was 'coming soon' 18 months ago I'm not holding my breath. I suspect that they've decided there's no money in a JS41 SP2 and have binned any work on it to enable them to concentrate their resources on things that will bring in the cash.Andy Lawton
