RealAir Turbine Duke

I did compare the prices that I have paid or would pay and that includes tax. And I know that tax does not go to the developer or seller. But the point stands if you compare before tax and is my personal opinion.About the hole I don't understand why one had been fixed at the table in the back according to the changelog of the patch and the big one that a track ir user might find annoying was not. I often lift up my head during approach to look over the glareshield and would be treated with a hole there. But me disliking the hole is entirely personal again.If it makes you happy if I apologize for my personal opinion, I hereby do so.
I didn't ask you to apologise for your opinion, but for the misinformation. As far as I can understand you are not a registered user of the Duke, but you are still refering to a hole you say "you would see" if you raised your view. I've already explained that you can alter views within limits and also explained why exceeding these limits won't work due to us designing the VC in order to offer maximum frame rate. This is not a mistake but a design decision. The hole under the cabin table was fixed long ago because that was seen from spot view with the door open and is a completely different issue. We have not received any official support queries or complaint about the cockpit views in the Duke from any customer who has actually purchased the product as far as I can remember.You also referred in another post to other addons which have innovations that we lack. Let me remind you that we have applied many innovations to most of our aircraft, some of them offered from as long as ten years ago: Ability to spin and sideslip, pilot view inertia effects as far back as FS9, later adopted by Microsoft themselves for FSX, stall buffet, airframe overstress effects (Spitfire), overspeed buffet (Duke Turbine), engine failures, engine overheating, prop rpm sound variations, and a host of other innovations. We think these add up to good value.If you had just posted that you thought our Dukes were too expensive (before tax) and left it at that, I would have ignored your post.

There are NDB/DME approaches (where the separate DME is tuned to one of your Nav receivers) but that one at YPLC is without the DME part, so you are using your stopwatch to define the point where you are turning. Just look for the CAT A & B time in the charts and you should be ok.
Thanks a lot CoolP. You are right, in chart it shows the distance in time. :(

DUKE Piston B60 Cockpit sound package is now available.(PLEASE NOTE: this will not properly work in theTURBINE Duke)http://www.mediafire...wzc2msbwl7528azENJOYNOTE KEYPRESS RADIO / GPS SOUND LEVELS:--------------------------------------------------------------Ok 3 people have reported that the key press sounds volume on radio/gps/adf/expander might be a bit low as they cannot hear it when engines run at full revs.. Well I dont think you will hear it in real life either, but if you want to you can change the sound volumes of those that you want to be louder. It is especially the radio/GPS/ADF/EXPD key press sounds that seem to be a bit soft for some. With engines at idle and in off position you should be able to clearly hear the keypress sounds.The radio/GPS keypress sounds is the following wav files that you find under: FSX -> SOUND -> DUKE_PIST_Cockpit folderSOFTKEYPRESSALT.wavSOFTKEYPRESSGPS.wavSOFTKEYPRESSRADIO.wavThere are a multitude of freeware programs available to increase the sound volume of these wave filesIt is freeware, so feel free to change the volumes yourself if you not happy with it.

First, Let me warmly thank bliksimpie for his generous upload of switch sounds for our Duke. He can do this because he is not a commercial developer and can therefore upload this using Doug's freeware sound dll without restrictions. I appreciate the time and effort he put into this and I hope many customers of the Duke will take advantage of it.Rob - RealAir

I just can second that! I´ve never seen a plen being that bug free and just a joy to fly since ages. Really great work! I´m curious whether there is a new project in production.

Best regards, Steffen

The T-Duke is a civilian F-18 in GA dress. 4,000 FPM climb rates FULLY LOADED.I'm sure RW pilots either have to prepare their passengers of what to expect, or be really nice, and hold that beast back..Allot of training is needed for the RW version I'm sure... you could get yourself into trouble real fast in that thing.And from what I understand.. the in cert processing of the "Cougar" Baron P58 is even sicker.

Just a few remarks about this great "Turbine Duke" addon :

- while flying a stabilized cruise at FL200, the elevator trim indicator tooltip reads -19° ???? and the corresponding white triangle is located between 0° and -5° ??

- what should be the L or R correct genarator load at startup ? (mine read 15 instead of 0.5 max according to the c/l) and during flight (mine read 32.5) ?

- the stopwatch provided on the control wheel is fine but there is no way to use it as a real stopwatch ???

I can confirm the tooltip offset on the elevator trim. But I haven't noticed it until you wrote about it.

The stopwatch is a bit of a bummer though, but since the pointers are running smoothly, I've always worked around that lack and just memorized the positions I've needed.

Are gear & flaps hydraulic systems driven with left engine only ?

Did you notice when L engine is shut down gear&flaps are both inop ? Have a try with only R engine shut down and you should notice they are both available.

Good to know....

Yes, I have noted this in the past. It happens only in the Turbine Duke, not on the Piston one.

So, I've made a change in the aircraft.cfg

[electrical]

//BusType, MaxAmpLoad, MinVoltage

//BusTypes:0=MainBus,1=AvionicsBus,2=BatteryBus,3=HotBatteryBus,4-7=Generator/AlternatorBus(1-4)

max_battery_voltage = 24.0

generator_alternator_voltage = 24.0

max_generator_alternator_amps = 60.0

engine_generator_map = 1,1

avionics_bus=2, 5, 12

avionics=1, 5, 12

starter1=2, 5, 1

starter2=2, 5, 1

flap_motor=0, 5, 12 //default 4,5,12

gear_motor=0, 5, 12 //default 4,5,12

...

Change the first values from 4 to 0.

0 is the setting in the Piston Duke cfg.
