Most Realistic Airliner (FS9)

Featured Replies

What is the most realistic airliner for Fs2004? When I say realistic, I am not just talking about the model and VC. I want to know which airliner has the best FMC, most clickable buttons, most realistic feel of flight and if real world procedures would be possible on this aircraft.Payware or Freeware... it does not matter.Help would greatly be appreciated,Thanks a lot in advance guysAnsarias--------------------------------------------What is that mountain goat doing way up here in the clouds?

The all-around best must be the Leonardo Maddog. There is no rivaling plane for as far as I can see in FS2004. Also very good is the PT Tu-154M, and that one's free too! There's also the LDS767, which

IMO The PMDG MD-11 is currently the best, followed closely by the Leonardo Maddog 2010. Can't give an opinion on the iFly at the moment.

I bought the iFly 737NG about 6 months ago when it first was introduced, and I've flown practically no other plane since.I own all of the above aircraft and probably agree, in theory, that the MD11 is probably the most complex, but it's not as realistic for me as it is no longer in wide spread commercial passenger carrying usage, at least in the US (where I live). For me, that fact really detracts from it's realism...just my 2 cents.

Would completely agree with the above (although I cannot comment on the Maddog which I don't have)and I would also add the Flight 1 727.IMO the iFly 737, which I have just recently bought to replace the PMDG 737, has a slight edge on the others however!Bill

Project Tupolev TU-154M is probably as close as it gets for free. However, not being a real pilot I can't speak with any certainty.

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

Arent you Chuck missing Fed Ex and UPS's 11s? There are still loads of md11s flying worldwide, freighters, true, but md11 nonetheless.

The ITVV production of the EHAM-LEPA flight, still the best MD-11 video constantly reminds me of how great the PMDG MD-11 is. Complimented by a fantastic instructional course from 'Angle of Attack' makes this simulation awesome.I can understand why the IFLY 737NG, which is still my second best and excellent value for money, in as much as if you buy the FS9 version you get the forthcoming FSX model for just $12. This aircraft is best for those who don't have much time for flying as it's the best short haul aircraft. The Leonardo Maddog is probably the hardest one to master, because it's so different from the others but very satisfying when you get it right. Not for the 'kick the tyres and light the fires' brigade. The PMDG 747-400 and 800 are easy to fly and the simulation is reputed to be 95% exact in all the systems to the real ones. The Flight 1 ATR is nice but needs a lot of learning to handle properly.

I think that I agree with all the planes mentioned above although I have not heard of the maddog. I will have to check that one out.It is intresting to see that nobody has mentioned any airbus aircraft so far. All I can think of right now is airsimmer. Anyone know anthing else?--------------------------------------------What is that mountain goat doing way up here in the clouds?

hhhmmmmm maybe i should look into the md11 as my next purchase, only problem i dont like long hauls, thats what is holding me back.Out of my add-ons, ill give the ifly the edge. Very well done and very realistic, great aircraft for short to medium hauls.EDIT:. scratch the md 11 idea, just looked at the price, i wont get enough use out of it to justify the purchase

That's why I was specific about passenger status in my original post -- I prefer to fly passenger routes. I fly cargo for my VA on occasion, but cargo doesn't really do anything for me . . .

Wilco - the "best" one out there, but not "that good" to be in the listAirsimmer - AFAIK from other users, it's crap.

Good suggestions thus far, and I would add the DA Fokker 70/100 as well. Very detailed, but the lack of a VC deters some people.
