Hi Joe,Me too,I thought today of all days (4th July) would have beengreat PR oppertunity for the team to give an update boost to everyone.Unfortunatley though, it is once again all quiet on the Western front :( I must say with the Aircraft being as far along in development as it isclaimed to be, I would have thought there would have been more screenies & more info (Insight) about Aircraft systems etc. :(
Hi Paul,I agree if the NGX is as near as it is, not my words but RSR words you would have thought there would be more chat about it, more pics, more hype as we near launch! The carrot at the end of the stick is pretty rotten now :(

Sorry, i mean "a day off". It's nice sometimes to not work and forget everything.I know that is busy time for them right know, but as i am a developer i and i like what i do.. and some times we dont have a choice but to work (i worked even on sundays...) i like it more when i can enjoy the rewards of my work (read: Salary on a not working day--Big%20Grin.gif)

Joe, i think you're partially right...but for me my personal life come first... I always see it this way: I work to live.. and not live for work. But maybe that why i don't have a business of my own

In a perfect World, PMDG would make a list of all the fools who have been knockin, whining, moaning, picking - basically chipping away like a bad tooth ache. Then they would PM all the patient, non ######ing, non moaning, understanding potenital customers with a release date and download link a week or two before the other ungrateful A-holes get their hands on it...Yeah I said it..

The above post was totally uncalled for.In a PERFECT world PMDG would have met their release dates (but they didn't) Hey Ho.The fools as you say, that have been "knockin, whining, moaning, picking - basically chipping away like a bad tooth ache"are only doing so because of PMDGs poor progress information. If PMDG are 1 month away from release, tell us 3, that puts an end to the questionsThis is a public forum & as such we are entitled to have opinions & ask questions. If you don't want to hear all of the above so called "Whiners" dont read the forumsjust wait for the "NGX Released" post.BTW we are all potential customers on here & my money is as good as yours, so when this Aircraft is released, PMDG I am sure will gladly accept it.As for "A-holes",I am sure you know more about them than the rest of us.There I said it.

I find very interesting the need of some folks for hourly updates on the NGX progress. It's like they don't trust PMDG and need something to prove that they are indeed working. Based on the latest comments from PMDG, there's nothing interesting to be told to us, the potential customers. They are not working on anything visual, anything that you can take a shot of an post somewhere. PMDG is adjusting lines of codes, algorithims. How interesting would it be if they came here saying:"Alright, today we were investigating the VNAV issue and found out that the codeline #452 was totally wrong! The code we added was 0,42584684, but our calculations based on the logarithm of that number on base 34 came out with the obvious answer, which is 2,8468541! Can you believe that we missed such an easy math?! Look at this! It's ridiculous!"I admit, I have no idea about how that code stuff works, but shouldn't be much different from this. How many of you would read a post containing 10 pictures of a .CPP file or whatever they use with the codes? You would beg them to stop. If they had something interesting, as well as time to do so, they would stop by and tell when suitable, just like Randazzo has always been doing. Also, stop to think a minute: If they posted updates very often, they wouldn't be interesting anymore after some time. You'd get sick of all the development talking.I'd like to say to PMDG that I completely understand their reasons to be pushing this release forward, even more than they wanted to. As a guy said in another thread, the name PMDG took a vast amount of time and effort from all the members of the Team to be built and recognized as one of the best, if not the best airplane addon developer for the Flight Simulator plataform. I totally support you concept of "If it has to be done, it'll be done right." I know you don't need anyone telling you this, but take your time and keep doing your work as you has always been. As Chris Palmer from AoA would say: Throttle On! (I love that. I can't help laughing everythime he says that in his videos, especially the ones from the Flight section of the MD-11 training)

Well, i may find it interesting if they start to show us C++ classes, or stuff like that. Is PMDG using QT for the loader app? Or maybe GTK? :( Yeah! Bring those .cpp files! xD :(

I totally get what you're saying, and I understand PMDG's situation in all of this. In no way am I upset with PMDG's style. I've been patiently waiting every day and read 90% of the comments on here. I definitely don't condone much of the behaviour I see on this forum with the self-entitlement some people have. I wish, along with everyone else that we this bird could be released and we could all live happily ever after. I realize this is not yet the case, so I choose to keep waiting. But I do see why people choose to whine and complain and ask for updates. Entitled to or not, people like to be informed. And i understand that we'd be bored by updates that talk about the lines of code and calculations. What I see as a feasible update though is maybe "400 bugs found in beta testing. 80 have been fixed so far," or something to that effect. i think the majority of people are just looking for anything, not necessarily something incredibly detailed. But as I said, I see both sides of the coin and understand why PMDG runs itself the way they do.
