July 26, 201114 yr Nick's latest video flying the NGX in ORBX Pacific North West is fantastic but did anyone see his system spec'sNvidia i5 2500K @ 4.4GHzGPU GTX480RAM 8GB Corsair 8-8-8-24HDD 300GB WD VelociraptorPSU Corsair HX 850WRemembering that is the new 737NGX and ORBX scenery with no fps hit as far as I can see.Delf(Heron 1B) Derek Froud (Delf) Retired Commercial Pilot, Perth. i7-2600K 3.4GHz 8MB - Corsair H70 CPU Cooler - Mom ASUS P8Z68 Pro - 2 x 4GB (8) Kingston DDR3 1600MHZ- EVGA GTX570 x2 - WD Caviar Black 500GB - WD Caviar Black 1TB - 850W Mod PSU - Corsair Graphite 600T Case - Win7 64bit B737-800 Fixed Base Cockpit Build modelled using the PMDG 737NGX
July 26, 201114 yr I opened a whole thread speaking about fps.The graphic quality within the video is stunning indeed, I just hope 737 NGX it won't hurt too much my pc because I guess most of us have HW specs definitely lower than the ones used in the video....Mark Fosseth
July 26, 201114 yr Well yeah thats true i hope ill be alright i should be but like i said in the other post i could do with a better HDD

July 26, 201114 yr That would be more than enough.... and is exactly the same spec I'm ordering! I'm psyched to say the least! July 26, 201114 yr What would be a minimum power supply for such a setup escpecially with two physical hard drives?I noticed one had a 850 W and the other a 550 W.How many Watts would be sufficient? Thanks,Christos
July 26, 201114 yr I had to learn the hard way pay the extra money and get a bigger power supply or you will have to buy a bigger one later on down the road when you start adding HDD's, GPU's, Water cooling, and etc I bought a 1000 watt and have all the power I need. I ran 3d mark 11 benchmark ( to ensure the GPU would be used to full potential). Most users far overestimate the power needed to run a system. I'm not saying buy a 450W PSU... that's stupid, but a 650w quality PSU, like seasonic or Corsair (same thing basically) is plenty for a single GPU system.I'd get a brand name 650w unit - 850w unit though, if you want to SLI/crossfire, and if you intend on upgrading. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

July 26, 201114 yr I run a lot of ORBX scenery (NW PNW Blue, NW Fjords) along with REX2 with really good results. Hoping my system handles the NGX as well.SystemCPU AMD Phenom II X4 (3.4 GHZ OC to 3.7 GHZ)4 GB DDR3 @ 1600 MHZATI HD5770 (OC to 910 MHZ memory at 1350). Well yeah thats true i hope ill be alright i should be but like i said in the other post i could do with a better HDD Noticed your running the same CPU only at 4.4GHZ. I've pushed mine up that high, but ran into stability issues while running FSX. Everything else runs great, but FSX will crash after a few minutes forcing a reboot of the computer. What kind of luck have you had with those settings? Ryan Syferd (KSEA)

July 26, 201114 yr It's looking like if you can run the JS41 comfortably, you'll be good with the NGX. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
July 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member The only systems that need more than 600W of power are ones with multiple GPUs or potentially ones with top of the line (GTX580 etc) GPUs that are doing high overclocks of the CPU and GPU. The system in my sig barely goes over 400W of actual power draw even in super intensive games that fully load the GPU.
