It's an extreme example, for sure, but on the other hand, I doubt they will be giving us several days worth of advance notice. It's only 3PM CDT Tuesday afternoon right now, there's still plenty of time for them to make an announcement today regarding a release tommorrow. I think it's a bit premature to predict that they won't hit their release target of tommorrow based on lack of an announcement. -jr

I think that this "strange" silence from PMDG team is also a part of the NGX beta test.they don´t only test the plane it self but also what costumers are saying and how their "business" will go ;)

Rumor has it it will be on par with the MD-11X. But, until it comes out, only the beta testers know for sure.

i disagree somewhat. they know they will make a fortune on this. if you tally the numbers the business of flight simulator add-ons is quite lucrative.

I believe they just avoid the forum on the home stretch in order to stay clear or all the last minute whining, nagging and questioning.

I think they would be busy enough as they are (oop, a Qantas 744 just flew by few hundred feet above my head ) to ensure we get it on Thursday!

I'm starting to feel some kind of weird vibe on these forums. PMDG staff and beta testers occasionally come in and throw us a few crumbs, then hide behind a corner and watch as we all jump on them and dissect every picture they give us, or every little tidbit of info on the NGX. It's like some weird experiment. They give us just enough info to keep us interested and bristling with excitement, but not enough to actually know anything for sure. Take the FPS issue. On the one hand we got all these guys with i7's wondering if their rig will hold up, on the other, rumors that the NGX is actually quite FPS friendly. Something's going down. They're either going to release it tomorrow, or they're messing with us. Or maybe they're just too busy to reply to posts and I'm paranoid. Definitely not out of the question.
