August 4, 201114 yr Hey Mr TU Delft student, the only one I know is a freeware scenery on AVSIM. Nothing special but a nice improvement. Shame that BFI is not covered by ORBX PNW (or is it?) Greets from Ypenburg Indeed, saw that one aswell but was hoping for something else like Orbx or another scenery developer.Btw: Have family in Ypenburg ^^
August 4, 201114 yr Author Indeed, saw that one aswell but was hoping for something else like Orbx or another scenery developer.Btw: Have family in Ypenburg ^^ The only Boeing Facility featured by Orbx is Renton I guess. Btw: My father works at the TU ^^ but not the L&R Faculty Regards, Harm Swinkels
August 5, 201114 yr Downloaded and installed this afternoon 5th Aug Australia in 30 mins! Absolute breeze!!Did my acceptance flight around KBFI in Virgin blue -800 new livery and am now En Route to PHNL Honolulu on my ferry to Sydney. Just incredible am loving it! Got another 3.8 to goto PHNL at moment at FL400 then I will shut down on the ramp and grab a motel for the ferry to Tahiti Faaa tomorrowThe download and install was the easiest I've done yet and I'm getting 30+ frames in heavy and unlimited at Crz Steve FOffshore Helicopter Pilot ME-IFR AW139 / Sikorsky S92 SpecsWin 106th Gen Intel Core 6700 liquid cooledIntel 100 chipset4 processor 8 way multi16GB DDR4512 GB Intel pro SSD2TB 7200 rpmSata 3 HDNvidia GTX 1060

August 5, 201114 yr Experiment successful! I could start up the 737 from Cold & Dark without setting it on fire and my first flight, a short hop from the Edwards AFB to Las Vegas, went without incident. And the landing was a greaser, too! The performance is pretty good for my rig. Without tweaks and the autogen density set to Dense I get between 15-20 fps at McCarran (KLAS) and during cruise I had 22-30 (FPS locked at 30). It was a smooth experience through. I'd say it performs as good as the J-41, if not better. It's a great aircraft and flies like a dream. September 5, 201114 yr First the tutorial, will probably repeat that several times. One of my favorite flights is from my home airport KBJC to KEGE (Eagle County, the airport used for the Vale ski area in western CO, a very scenic flight over the continental divide and a difficult approach, with a flight time of less than an hour), Bruce. Bruce, have you managed to land ILS successfully at KEGE? I can't manage to get my speed down enough on final approach, with some unpleasant consequences! Tom
September 5, 201114 yr Hi Tom, You have to be at VRef when you intercept the LOC, as (if I recall correctly) the GS is more then 3 degrees. Even in a normal 3 degree IL, speed control is everything. The real a/c landing i]at KEGE have gear down and flaps out after leaving RLG (the FAF for this approach), particularly if you are flying a B757, which often land there in the winter ski season. KEGE has some special rules that require the captain to have some actual currency (not in the simulator but actual currency, if I recall correctly), and no approaches at night, or under minimums. But if you slow to-say- 160 knots with flaps and gear out after leaving RLG, you should be OK :) Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.

Could you tell me what my altitude should be at RLG? Tom KP
September 6, 201114 yr Are you crashing when landing, or are you hitting terrain on the way down to the LOC intercept? You should be crossing RLG at no lower than 13, 800'. Now, if you think about that, you have a lot of altitude to lose before you get aligned on the LDA/LOC. It's like one of my old flight instructors told me years ago:"If you want to go up, pull back. If you want to go down, pull back harder".So, slow speed after RLG, and watch those crossing restrictions until you are aligned on the LDA (I assume you have an approach plate to be trying something like this?). Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
September 9, 201114 yr Thnaks Bruce, crashed and burned again last night so will try your advice. Could you tell me what my altitude should be at RLG? Tom KP Well finally managed a landing - too fast and too high. Amazing what PMDG have done with this simulation! More practise...
September 12, 201114 yr Well, as soon as they finish painting the COPA logo on it (...fixing my installation issues) she will be making her way to Panama, Via LAX! PANDA
