what will be your first flight?

Featured Replies

Once you have the 737NGx installed, what is the first flight you are going to fly with it? I was thinking of a several hour taking test flight to discover and test all the features :)

I know this was discussed several months ago but I still have not decided. I think I might just start her out on the runway at Renton or one of the Boeing facilities and start with a cold and dark. I have been thinking of following Nick and his videos and just going through it like that. Start with a walk around and then step inside and power her up and just familiarize myself with all the customizations. First flight, I might just do the tutorial or do a flight from Renton over Rainier and land back at Renton.

All my tests are done around EGNJ Humberside. Out to the Humber, maybe the Humber Bridge and the sea. Turn and return to runway 21 as I used to live near here til I moved 25-30 years ago. Then I have several planned trips, some for nostalgia, others because I like the route, yet more because its old holiday spots I visited. EGCC and EGGP are near me, so both of them to EGNJ, to EHAM, EDDF, LEPA and thats just for starters. But between the initial tests at Humberside and the routes I`ll do lots of reading, cold and dark starts, etc.....

First the tutorial, will probably repeat that several times. One of my favorite flights is from my home airport KBJC to KEGE (Eagle County, the airport used for the Vale ski area in western CO, a very scenic flight over the continental divide and a difficult approach, with a flight time of less than an hour),Bruce.

ASEL, Instrument.

KBJC, Colorado.

Teterboro - Orlando Exec. with the -900WL

EGNM to EGAA. A quick flight but enough time to get to grips with a few basics. Then I will turn her around and fly back.

I am probably going to do EFTP-EGSS on a Ryanair 737-800WL.

Mine will be from KOKC-KDEN in the SWA 800WL FL340... J20 LBL J52 LAA QUAIL6 The plan is to mimic the tutorial flight, but exchange routing and destination... Then it's off to fiddle with c/d start-ups!(Ive got a sneaking suspicion, that I'll just be punching buttons for the first few hours though!) Cheers!

Personally, I think starting with an overview of the aircraft and see what's new. Then I start a cold & dark by following and repeating several times the NIck's tutorial. Once familiar with the plane, I will launch a flight: LFPG (Paris Charles De Gaulle) to EGLL (London Heathrow).

Boeing field to Atlanta and then to San Jose Costa Rica Delta 737-800WL
