What add-ons would you recommend with the NGX?

Featured Replies

Agreed. EFB has been the most helpful for me flying with the NGX.

Hi Jones, Thanks for sharing this information regarding the free TRACKNOIR.(http://facetracknoir...ome/default.htm) Are you using the TrackNoir? I would like to know if is possible use it with EZDOK Cam as trackir. Thanks
I have used it and it works well, after setting it up. I heard the sony ps3 webcam works well with the pc, and is designed for such headtracking properties. Its not too expensive either.I havnt used ezdok, so cant help there, sorry. its worth trying tracknoir, even if you just used an ordinary camera as a webcam, to see if you like it. its free. nice to speak to you my friend, there are so many people with attitude here lately. lol lloyd jones
TOPCAT is recommended. I'd shamelessly plug my own stuff, but the Windows/PC version of FS2Crew isn't available yet. But, to tide you over, you can still use the iPhone/iPod 737 NG Flight Crew Program I created... it was designed with the PMDG NGX in mind... http://www.fs2crew.c...es/Mobile-Apps/ I also recommend VOX ATC. Cheers,

Hahahahha, all we need is the SDK from PMDG for the Windows/PC version of FS2Crew. The SDK will allow for direct, totally seamless integration between FS2Crew and the NGX... no mini-pop up panels... no keypress signals... everything will connect "directly" just like it does in the other FS2Crew's where the host aircraft has an SDK. So once the PMDG SDK is out, you should have your FS2Crew shortly thereafter. In the meantime though, just use FS2Crew's 737NG iPhone app! It does a lot of the same things as the PC version of FS2Crew. Cheers,

I also recommend VOX ATC.
Within Vox ATC is it mandatory to speak over the mic or you can select a line-speak like FSX ATC ?Thx

EZDok and TIR, I rarely used TIR before I got EZDok and now I would hate to fly without either of them. Such a winning combination and they make the greatest change to the sim and its similarity to the real world. I use TIR4 with the TIR5 software and Seph Profile no problem at all. Only occasional problem is solved by ensuring TIR is loaded AFTER EZDok because it occasionally stops EZDok working if applied in the wrong order, at least here. Just some bonus info.....Steve

Just got REX, ASE, GEX and UTX.Any other good ones?
TrackIR.

If you already have the most popular addons. Activesky, GEX, REX, UTX, UTII then the next best thing is to get some worldwide Mesh Coverage. (FS Global or FS Genesis) The FSX Default mesh in North America and Europe is very good, but the rest of the world is severly lacking.Example: If you have ever flown to MHTG (Toncontin) you will notice small hills in the area, which is not the case in the real world. Add FS Global or FS Genesis and it is completely different and much more realistic. But beware FS Global 2010 for example has 25 gigs of mesh data to install to your hard drive on 6 DVDs which will take about 2-3 hours to install depending on how fast your rig is.
