October 29, 201114 yr The HGS Works on the base pack Install but once SP1 is installed the text is gone even in the -700 Expansion as well. I tried the brightness, mode panel nothing. :( Guess I can submit a ticket but Im sire im not the only one hopefully someone can figure out why. Tristan
October 29, 201114 yr thanks but as usual for me not too clear. So I can use whatever baseback I have, right? Being the RTM or any other later version? I then run SP1. Do I have to start the basepack once? Or install the basepack and run SP1 right after that? Last one I guess would be the 6700 pack which I also bought, right? Sorry for the dummy questions but these also come up for me when it comes to installation sequence of basepacks, extensions and service packs...No need to run the base pack first !!1. Install your base pack.2. Install Sp1.Fire her up !!!Fred. Frederic Steiner.
October 30, 201114 yr So I just completely amazed myself I took the Ryanair 737-800 for a check ride run at LPFR (LPFR Based A/C this one :)) and went for a approach everything was all fine until flaring over the numbers until i heard this all mighty crack on nose wheel touchdown thinking i had burst the tyre LOL i quickly stopped the A/C and did a external and internal systems check everything A OK so then i thought to myself duurrrr this is how the aircraft sounds in the cockpit landing in real life the "crack" is just simply the nose wheel contacting the ground at 180mph you can hear it on 747 RL videos as well so there you have it folks something else the all mighty NGX has taught me :D.Michael Atherton Regards Michael Atherton
October 30, 201114 yr I thought I would post my question again since there have been so many more post since...Love the SP1 update, but I am having problems with the 2D view. I am pointing at the ground and when I pan up using Ctrl+Shift+Q it works until you pan to a side view then the forward 2D panel goes back to pointing at the ground. I use 2D panels more than a virtual. Any suggestions? Again, great update but this one issue is really bothering me...

I use 2D panels more than a virtual. Any suggestions?Go To your Main FSX Directory, Find SIMOBJECTS Folder - AIRPLANES Folder - PMDG 737-800NGX Folder - PANEL Folder And in the panel folder open the file panel.cfg with notepad. Scroll down until you see the following lines and replace the one line I have highlighted in red with my values. Viola your Fixed! Have Fun!Note you only have to do this once cause the other 800/900 models are aliased to this file. If you have the 600/700 Expansion pack which I don't, you probably will have to do this for the PMDG 737-600NGX Panel.cfg as well.[VIEWS]VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,MINIPANELVIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.100, 0.000, 0.000VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8 Paul Deemer

October 30, 201114 yr n4f13, real names are required in the PMDG Forums, this is so PMDG can verify your an actual customer. You will also have a better shot of getting some answers to your questions then. Paul Deemer

October 30, 201114 yr How does one use the 4:3 panels in the way PMDG wants it to? Have not had an answer from Mr. Randazzo so far. There is no readme file in the folder, just the one where there is the WideViewAspect stuff and that doesn´t change anything.Also....am I the only one that doesn´t get the magical FPS increase? It´s not that much faster. In EDDH from Aerosoft I get around 20 to 24 fps, when having the mouse cursor not in the window. With the mouse cursor I am at about 17-20, sometimes 23.That is exactly what I got before SP1. Oliver Donner
October 30, 201114 yr people have names you know thats why you suppose to put your full names in here. Not everyone is called "man" in here.Well, as you see in my quote, the name of the poster that you answer is stated first in the quote! So what's your problem?JJJ Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
