October 29, 201114 yr BUFFER ALERT displayed on FMC. Everything was going fine climbing to 330 with a CI of 35 so decided to increase the CI to 65. No problem so thought I'd go up to 135. Then things went a little crazy. Aircraft started to descend and the PFD displayed the over speed lines through the whole IAS range. The MCP speed indicator was flashing with the A prefix. Managed to get down and line up for the approach but couldn't slow the aircraft down below 170 with full flaps and gear down, AT disengaged so decided to exit. Clearly I managed to brake something.
