Evidence that Flight will NOT be Hawaii-only!

Featured Replies

Oh my, imagine when the demo gets released and it is Hawaii-only (similar to the FSX demo like you said). The pessimists will have a field day dry.png
The pessimists will see it as proof that the Microsoft Flight world is Hawaii only. The optimists will see it as proof that the whole Flight world from the Arctic to Antarctica will look just as good as Hawaii. The realists will wait for someone trustworthy to review the full version of the game before they jump to conclusions.

+1Even with that, the speculation, innuendo and hearsay will no doubt continue throughout this entire Forum, with all three sides offering their opinion and at the same time, vigorously defending said opinions. It's such a wicked Moebius Loop of fact, rumor and supposition that there has to be a release valve somewhere; a time when everyone involved can take a step back, disseminate all of what was said and formnew opinions based on what was presented earlier.Hence... tea time.:(

Yes, a great time of any day.

If you see the logo for Flight, you can see the world in it.
I only see the northern hemisphere Thinking.gif in fact it doesn't even include Hawaii... on the plus side though, if this had any true meaning then those living in the Arctic circle will be happy with the coverage of Flight.

very well summed up.

I'm with the realist gang, but friends with the optimists gang. LOL.gif

I am realistic but I do not fear to express an own opinion based on what we see on the Flight site since over a year.Hawaii only ? I bet there will be only a SMALL portion of Hawaii, let's say 10% of Hawaii. There will be also a small portion of 2-3 sceneries, just to build missions on " different " locations, no more.

Hi,The FLIGHT will be released with a limited scenery (Hawaii) and a limited number of aircrafts. Both scenery and airplane will be of very good quality compared to FSX.A new FLIGHTSTORE will also be released, where add-on developers (and MS themself) can sell their add-on airplanes, sceneries ( new parts of the WORLD) and other utilities. With the FLIGHTSTORE concept (ala APPLE STORE) they will make sure to get a steady revenue stream by taking 15% profit from all add-on sellers.New add-on sceneries will be developed and sold thru FLIGHTSTORE.In addition the initial release with Hawaii only scenery will also be XBOX verified.Multiplayer and VATSIM alike system will all be part of XBOX LIve.This concept is well within the strategy of MS.rgs

This is probably very close to Flights business plan.Aside: All flight sims have a limited number of aircraft (so it goes without saying)

Agreed, this is how I imagine they will be doing it as well.

More likely in the 30% to 50% range. I believe Apple takes a 30% cut (http://developer.app...distribute.html). I can't imagine MS taking anything less.
50% would be daylight robbery.
