November 28, 201114 yr There are few things to be fixed here... :-) I think it's your head that needs fixing along with a couple others who have nothing better to do than nitpick everything that you feel is wrong or not simulated, rather than enjoying all the things that the NGX does have to offer. When the 747-400 and MD-11 came out did you do this on that forum too? I just gotta know one question. What are your credentials? Are you a Pilot, Programmer or just a self proclaimed Expert? After flying more than 200 hours in the NGX under some of the most extreme conditions and to some of the most challenging airports around the world I have yet to find a single complaint. I have enjoyed every minute of it too. I think some of you have expectations that are way out in the stratosphere. The NGX is never going to be able to simulate every feature the real aircraft does. The sooner you realize that and tone down your expectations a bit the more you will enjoy the NGX. Paul Deemer

When the 747-400 and MD-11 came out did you do this on that forum too? I just gotta know one question. What are your credentials? Are you a Pilot, Programmer or just a self proclaimed Expert?Technician on the real one...Your head must be fixed... You are the one wasting your time without any credential...Go away and waste your time out of here.PS: I don't want to be rude, but, people without any credential, with no constructive messages, must be away from technical discussion arguing for something he doesn't know. And I'm pretty sure you don't know the things, because you cannot write about my credentials if you know what a WTRIS (for example) is. So, without reading or informing about, you are just writing...Shut up please. There are few in this forum with your same attitude while posting about wasting time, but the strange thing is how you and others (I'm referring to another topic, other people) do the same. The worst aspect of your post is that you, liking the product as it is, (if someone makes a flying sh.., you probably will like it as it is) , do not accept that the simulation is not yet perfect, and that showing what is wrong the simulation could improve it as did till the first release. The worst thing is that fixes made by pmdg will be avaiable also to you that are "SO HAPPY", this SP1b will contain over 40 fixes, if you are so HAPPY and you have balls, don't download it, use the first release. And PLEASECHANGE TOPICTo the others, sorry for my attitude in the last post. November 28, 201114 yr No virtual pilots need a pressurization system... Wondering why it is simulated...Same for oxygen... Regards Andrea Daviero
November 28, 201114 yr No virtual pilots need a pressurization system... Wondering why it is simulated...Same for oxygen...You need a USB Oxygen mask simulator to take full advantage of the pressurization system. If you do not set the aircraft pressurization correctly, it slowly cuts off the air supply to the mask, feeding back your exhailed Co2, in quite a realistic way. Also comes with the "Fantasy Aroma Pack" addon, for those long boring layovers.http://www.engadget....out-co-workers/
November 28, 201114 yr I ment this bug:http://forum.avsim.n..._1#entry2159996 I knew what you were talking about Robin, I sent in a support ticket, they said they were aware of the problem and they were going to fix it in the next sp.
November 28, 201114 yr Paul is an authority on the NGX.He has over 200 hours flying time and has landed at lots of different airports.Jason all due respect read what people say a little more closely so you don't end up with your foot in your mouth. I never said I was an expert or authority on the NGX. I simply stated putting the NGX through 200 hours of gruelling flight conditions I have no complaints with the product. I feel I got my moneys worth 3 times over. Of course I am happy for any Improvements or Fixes that come with the Service Packs and Hotfixes and will download those when they are available. My point was some peoples expectations are way out there. It's a sim as some people are so fond of reminding me. lol. It is also beyond the capabilities of FSX to simulate everything the real aircraft has. They are already pushing the Limits of what is possible with FSX. So why not just enjoy what it does have to offer? The worst aspect of your post is that you, liking the product as it is, (if someone makes a flying sh.., you probably will like it as it is) , do not accept that the simulation is not yet perfect, and that showing what is wrong the simulation could improve it as did till the first release. What is wrong with liking the product as it is? It is a fantastic product as it is and will contine to improve over time. However I doubt they need any more Technician / Pilot wannabes on staff or they woulda hired you. Paul Deemer
November 28, 201114 yr Imagine all of us fully hppy with the first release, do you think PMDG spend time to add new feature or fix what is going wrong?Part of the 300+40 fixes were reported by users. What is wrong by asking for improvements? I'm not forcing pmdg to make fixes to everithing, I've sent to them only one ticket, regarding the missing order confirmation mail, plus a couple of PM to RSR and Tab. Never officially asked for fixes, just wondering an even better simulation, simply that.Manual reversion is one of the things, in the checklist, the manual reversion contain also the WTRIS description and operation. They are things rarely used, but part of the simulation if you want a best one.If pmdg will not fix them, I will continue to sleep, and to fly it happy.I told a lot of times that it is the best simulation ever, but it can be improved. These things (ailerons, elevator in manual reversion) IMO could be adjusted and are within FS limits.Sorry for my previous attitude Regards Andrea Daviero
November 29, 201114 yr All within FSX limit can be simulated, if not simulated correctly, it is something not simulated or wrongly simulated. It is not for professional use, I know, but there are other simulated systems that you will never use, and default FS flight controls move without hyd power. Now, Must I think that the default 737 simulates aileron/elevator movement better than PMDG?I suspect tat pmdg want to simulate how hard becomes a flight control without hyd power and in air, but I think that in this case a bit of help in moving flight controls is needed.Or, as it is a not professional thing, why simulate the absence of hydraulic pressure? Why reducing flight control travel? I think it is someting that was programmed, as on defult aircrafts flight controls move with or without pressure. The points are 2, or it is a feature (and is not as real as supposed) or it is an issue. If it is a feature, as it is present, can be tuned to work better and make the plane flyable as it must beIf it is an issue, it can be easily modified/fixed.There is no a FSX limit here, no professional addition or not, is part of the simulation, is what the letter P (precision) of PMDG means. It is what, I think/hope PMDG is searching for and offers to us.We can enter in a world of nonsense about what is simulated correctly but is useless for flight simulator, but if not simulated all of you will be sad.We can think about a Attendant call, ground call, the various overheat, airconditioning, pressurization, antiice, wingflex, just to name few,Maybe. What does this have to do with me asking PMDG whether or not SP1b will mean that saved flights cannot be used that were built using SP1? I am asking if this will be a repeat performance and hoping that someone from PMDG will reply through a forum post. Don Lillard
November 29, 201114 yr Heck: I'm so naive that I don't even understand most of these 'complaints' - suggestions for improvement. My old RW Navajo never had manual reversion, or the rudder in standby mode. I was just grateful it all worked most of the time. Some of you guys I take it, are seeking the sort of software that the airlines have in their sims - an exact replica of the real thing.Be fair to the devs, a desktop computer is a big compromise, and also the add-on has to be within the skill range of the ordinary Joe - and the very scratchy underlying FSX game engine.. The systems in the PMDG are never going to be an exact replication - but remember that the real thing at 30000ft is also a massive responsibility and has a feel and reaction that can never be fully copied, so be glad - I can stuff up a landing on the sim but the RW pro cannot, ever, well maybe just a little bit! Captain Kangaroo is always with us. KInd regards, Ian McPhail
November 29, 201114 yr I Really cannot understand....You are all so happy with the NGX, perfect and so on, but still waiting for SP1b, asking for release dates, downloading just minutes after the release, most of you chenged from FS9 version to the new NGX, but, with both you are so happy that seems that asking (not pretending) improvements is something wrong, is someting bad, is something that must be avoided. The reason for you is that is not for professional use, it is for desktop usage, it doesn't need to be exactly as the real one.Ok, if so, I'll ask you another time, why there is a pressurization control? Why there are manual and alternate features? Why failures? Why sturtup delay for DUs? Why an APU? Why an oxygen system? Why the ground call and HILOW CHIME....PMDG made them to get as close as possible to the real, and made an SP1 plus a coming SP1b with 340 fixes, fixes that include wrong things fixed, things that normally were not visible as most of you found it perfect from the day it was released...WHAT IS WRONG ABOUT ASKING FOR IMPROVEMENTS? I'm not targeting anyone with a gun needing fixes, I'm not telling it is a professional simulator, I'm not asking to implement new or optional features, I'm not asking for an ACARS for example, I'm asking, if possible, to correct things that are wrongly simulated.IT IS SO BAD ASKING FOR A BETTER PLANE? Regards Andrea Daviero
November 29, 201114 yr Agree completely, also because the NGX is already so well done that perfection is just round the corner and it would really be a pity if features that ARE implemented, are very close to working as they should and that it's not difficult to get working as they should (at least I believe) are not refined.
