Could the axing of Flight be the promised December announcement??

Why would they call it an exciting announcement? Not exciting...more like a big announcement. I really don't think they are going to sound excited about that type of announcement, post system specs, and publish 13 new screenshots if they are canceling it.

The exciting annoucement- flight will be sold for a dollar twenty five in silver(face value).The stock market is a ponzi scheme and fiat currency is pyramid scheme. Need proof ? The pyramid scheme symbol is printed on the us dollar bill. Its like the game of musical chairsYou can't print money out of nothing and backed by nothing and not expect there to be crash at some time.

If the gloom and doom "sayers" are correct then the question to buy or not buy Flight will be the very least of our problems!! The US will have reality TV shows on buying the best cave for survival.

I'm guessing that FLIGHT will get the axe, just like ACES did...

Chances are FSX with Addons will be better than first few versions of flight.Microsoft alone can not produce stuff to compete with FSx+addons , and i dont hear any of the addon devs touting anything they are developing for Flight platform.I suspect MS might have underestimated what is currently in FSX+addons, or they no longer targeting same users as they did with FSX, more of a quick fix game rather than a sim.Just did EGLC to LOWK on PMDG J41 with REX , ASE , RC4 and FSCommander v1.3, weather at LOWK was the worst, and many mountains near approach, complete with rain simulated on J41 windows.I strongly suspect Flight will take some time to reach FX+addons , or will never replace FSX+Addons., The FSX+Addons is far more than the efforts of one company.I would have been looking forward to flight if i been hearing PMDG,Wilco, Radar Contact for Flight, ASE for flight being promoted, but no such thing. I will be glad to hear people said this about FSX when FS2004 was the current version.The addon developers have given us FS-XIII, wount be suprised if Flight turns out to be FS-XI , but am hoping for better.

You post rarely but you post wise.Flight could be something within 5-6 years only.

It is impossible for anyone to be "developing for Flight" given that the beta isn't even available to be examined yet, much less the SDK.There is not one single developer on the planet who has the least idea what the development requirements for Flight will be, much less what the requirements to become a "licensed developer" will be! "We" can make educated guesses, but that's all...No one is allowed to even state that they have signed an NDA with Microsoft, as that is specifically prohibited by the NDA!Under those conditions, it would be kind of tough to say anything at all, other than at best a definitive "We have not signed an NDA."

My summary of possibilities is based on economic forces currently moving within the markets.Its not a matter of the BETA will or will not, or that FLIGHT will or will not... its a matter of fundamental economics.If the EU goes pop, it will take the global economy with it, mathematically there is no way around this fact... the Eurozone is the largest economy on Earth, even bigger than the US economy.It touches every single other economy on the planet, from the US and Asian economies to the smallest African and South American economy...My estimation on FLIGHT being canceled is based upon the economy continuing its downward graveyard spiral.If the bottom falls out of the economy, then MS and every other business onto e globe will begin load shedding for purposes of long term survival... and if ACES got the axe during the 2008 down turn... FLIGHT will not survive this one...Because the EU breaking up will make the 2008/09 financial crisis look like a going out of business sale for a small local mom and pop store...
