December 5, 201114 yr Placed my order, let you guys know when it arrives :-)On another forum someone also ordered aeroflyFS and he got a mail that the German version will be released before christmas and the english version next year. So it will be some time before we really know how good (or not) this new contender is!
December 6, 201114 yr I have ALWAYS told people about Aerofly Pro Deluxe for R/C practicing for a LONG time. I am SOOO happy to see they are taking their best and going into the FS world apparently.I ESPECIALLY like the last part of this video: http://www.aeroflyfs...t=440&width=680 Right around 2:29 it's quite exciting to me.
December 6, 201114 yr Well, I don't know what to think either...But in any case the girl is a lot prettier and a whole lot less irritating than Heidi! Ok, I'm in. After watching the videos one has to ask where this company has been all the time. Seems like we've missed something and the sheer motion of the Cessna on the ground would be a reason to buy. Very interesting indeed.Look at the low hill at the right: even from this distance it looks very low res:Whatever they've used, it had to fit in the small budget of that whole sim. I can tell you that a Swiss payware for FSX comes at three times the price of that new sim. It's a great product, no doubt, but we're talking 120 Euros here while the sim comes at 40 or so.From the videos, the landscape impression is great though. I think Christmas will bring this new and innovative product for me, if they finish it until then. As some other folks said, I didn't have it on my radar until some minutes ago.

I guess this tells me that I am ready for a change...some kind of change...Kind regards,
December 7, 201114 yr As promised, here is the response from Ikarus...Dear Sir,that will be next year for english version, sorry.Best regards Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 7, 201114 yr very impressive indeed. worth a closer look. though possibly just for a quick ride as the German Q&A implies. They focused very much on the scenery and flight physics, less if not none at all on avionics. there is a moving map but there are e.g .no mixture controls. so again, if you want a quick and nice flight before dinner then this seems alright. and, well, it's a start, isn't it. can only get better. they tell on their page that they closely follow the market reaction and customer requests. so it may indeed be further developed over time and get all these buttons and knobs we know and possibly love in our PMDG or other payware aircraft. nonetheless, hats off for such a nice looking entry to the flight sim market, graphics are really outstanding. December 7, 201114 yr Mmm, interesting. I have to say I was really excited to read more about this sim and look at the vid above. However, the more I looked beyond the immediate, 'wow look at the resolution' the more i realised that I really did not like the look and feel of it all. IMHO it all looks very false and animated, almost like watching some TV animated programme, not to mention the awful look of ther VCs. I much prefer the kind of flying in Orbx and UTX territory. Am I the only one who thinks this? You can see a little red spot.I think this thing looks rather promising, hope they will add the rest of Europe one day, seems a waste to build this platform for just one (tiny) country.
December 7, 201114 yr The cessna has mixture controls, they are hidden behind the right hand yoke. You can see a little red spot.do you know or believe this? I am asking because the info I posted comes from their Q&A page. would be great though if they moved away from the pure eye candy and physics to also some knobs and buttons. December 7, 201114 yr They have added two more videos to their site. A lengthy one with the F-18 over...yes, you guessed it Switzerland. Looks really fun.http://www.aeroflyfs.com/index.php/de/alles-ueber-aeroflyfs/videos.htmlI hope they keep developing it, I'd be interested to see what they come up with as time goes on. Kind of reminds me of the first Flight Unlimited...remember that?Nice to see the market opening up a little (even if it is not quite what we have come to expect with MSFS and X-plane)Rhydian

December 9, 201114 yr Anyone in posession of Switzerland Professional X by Flylogic will have a fully functional equivalent, without making any further purchase. Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
