Hilarious. Carlin was a funny guy.Excuse me if I happen to disagree with his political views. I happen to believe in the virtues of a Constitutional Republic bereft of the corruption espoused by Mr. Carlin.Having said that, I do not suffer from the Ostrich Syndrome and am well aware of the the long held adversarial relationship between retailer and customer. The fact that an honest retailer is not your enemy never seems to break through the fog created by Mr. Carlins foul viewpoint.biggrin.pngTorkermax: We do commercial retail, not freeware.

It's a bit useless to discuss this I think, as I see a lot of opinions either way seem to be etched in stone.Bottom line for me is that I love the way capitalism works in that we vote with our wallets. Agree or disagree with the style of service, if the product is good enough the company will survive.I voted that F1 should stay in business by buying and not returning the 182T because IMO it's a fine product, and don't want to miss out on a nice simming experience simply because I disagree with Mr. Rhoads on some things.

I return my F1 C182 after dig it around for a few days. For me, I bought it just for the G1000, but same like Mustang, too much simplifications. Using Garmin official G1000 trainer and Reality XP's GNS WAAS as references, the F1's just too simple for my standard. I didn't expect the full feature, like safetaxi or build in chart. However, no VNAV, no Checklist editor, no worldwide GNSS procedure for such a long time. Then my answer is NO

I think its hilarious to see what going on in this thread. I really do. First off, and correct me if I am wrong, opinions are jsut that.....opinions. Opinions in themselves are usually 99% false...hence why they aren't called facts. That being said, developers need to grow up and realize that people are going to express those opinions which are 99% wrong and aren't factual. Its how people are.....GET OVER IT. Act like adults too while you are at it. If you can't take the stupidity being flung at you.....you shouldnt be in retail. When it comes to a customer who knowingly wants to get on the forums and announce how incorrect or flawed an add-on is, dont be stupid. Like the devs said, back it up with facts. ITS TIME FOR THE CUSTOMER TO.........GROW UP!!!!! No one can make a claim and not support it with facts as an adult. Thats what only kids do.Back to the thing about opinions. They run a company's income statements. If everyone on here has an opinion of the OP...guess what....you don't make money! No matter how perfect YOU think your add-on is. It doesn't matter what YOU think. YOU aren't paying yourself are you? No, the CUSTOMER is paying you. That being said, instead of acting like a child, how about defend your product instead of looking stupid and defending the boo boo a customer inflicted on you. Your fire and passion for the quality of your product should drive you to defend the product.....not your diginity and self-respect.That brings me to my next issue with the developers in this thread and the customers. SHOW PROFESSIONALISM. It is just embarressing to watch a developer get tricked into saying some childish things. Words are powerful on these forums. The developers have every right to dfend their products and feel how they feel but you guys need to act like adults and be professional while defending your product. Instead of insulting a paying customer.....a professional business man/woman would respectfully let it be known that said customer was worng and then state the true facts. They wouldn't cry and moan and get all pissy with them.Bottom line is that developers need to get off the boo boo wagon and realize that you are never going to escape stupidity and that no matter how much people ###### you off.....they are the ones paying your salary....whether you like it or not. Therefore, just be professional when dealing with false statements and bring to light those false statements and let the other customers and users of this and other forums know the facts about the product. In the end, the customer dictates your salary and you may have lost customers by your mere lack of professionalism. A perfect example would be the Alec Baldwin incident on an American Airlines flight and how AA handled it once Alec mad public comments defaming AA.Bottom line for the customer is that you must back up with facts your claims of a product not delivering. If not, its a total opinion and has no merit nor truth and should not be thought of as such. You aren't credible and in the end..no one gives to craps about you returning a product. Grow up and start acting like an adult....and if you aren't one..maybe mommy and daddy should take away that credit card...

Real life retailers have the right to refuse service to insolent or idiotic "customers". That choice ensures both less revenue and more peace of mind.biggrin.png

Well Ron, if that is that is how you publically describe some of your customers, perhaps you should re-read Matthew's post once again.

Why would you assume such Paul?Nevertheless I have been privy to just such real life scenarios by real life retailers and seen them sigh with real life relief once the offensive customer had been dismissed.cool.png

Of course, and who hasn't ? But here, you are on a public forum and not in the back-office.

As usual, The predictable and thankfully few Avsim "wood shed" crew tries to lay the blame on the developers and instruct them on how they must act in public. LOL.gifThankfully, most of my work has nothing to do with entertainment these days. I just came in by chance and saw an oppourtunity to correct a few misreported claims. And sure enough... the spank patrol is alive and well.I really don't care what the predictable few think of what I say or feel. I will nail anyone I see that is not telling the truth about our products or misrepresenting them.Thankfully again those "select few" don't add up to much anyway but for some reason it appears they are allowed to run rampant here at Avsim. Its the same old story...So spank away... I have more important things to do with my time.Or... come over to my forum where we can address your issues and also validate our relationship and you will have our full undivided attention."Spankmeister1" or "WoodshedFred" doesnt tell me a thing about you or that you are even legit. Did I just imply the "P" word? Yes I did. You have no idea how many pirates come to our forums asking for help or complaining. Thus why we have started doing more registered forums. If you are going to take us to task in a non support public forum, give us a name. You know ours. Pony up or zip it. Or Private message us, otherwise? Its just WoodshedFred to me.I have to agree with Ron and Damien. Some of you guys are destroying the hobby.

So I can discard your opinion as wrong too, then?

Oh isn't that nice. Perhaps they will offer you something for free? Let me assure you, your not in their "club"
I can't think of a single flightsim developer who's anywhere nearly "big enough" to be a member of that "club..." LMAO.gifYou're a very funny guy if you truly believe that!

I think we should end this thread before the devs lose all respect from this "idiotic" customer that has invested hundreds of dollars into there businesses.
