anyone returned the f1 182t yet ?

After searching the forums and reading up on people's opinions on this plane I went ahead and purchased it. What a disappointment. I was expecting something like the realair turbine duke but the Vc to me was a let down right away. The plane is nice to fly tho. The mfd and pfd look like they imported them from the mustang.

That G1000 simulation is not just imported from the Mustang. It was probably rewritten to match a T182. Besides that, the G1000 in these Flight1 aircraft are the best you can get for FSX. Apart from that I think the VC also captures the feel of a modern Cessna spot on. I haven't thought about returning it once.

Mine is staying on my system - great plane!I fly it whenever I want to polish up on my G1000 flying skills.

Me too-in fact now that I am flying a g1000 aircraft rw I find this the most useful aircraft in my arsenal to train on.

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

I still like it, being a day1 customer. Maybe the rather calm character of a C182 isn't the most thrilling thing in FSX, but that thing gets you in and out of everything and my poor skills are equalized by the ones of the plane itself. laugh.png But isn't the combination of a nice gauge and a versatile plane a nice one?I like the Duke too, but one has to add a fancy RXP unit to get fun out of it. So I think both plane types deserve some hangar space and flying time. Preferences, huh?I think the thrilling stuff happens in the Orbx Lancair for example, while some newer Carenado planes may also be a nice option. However, the Flight1 service and quality still is a main aspect in regard to e. g. Carenado releases. They've improved and one has to applaud there, but the C182 package (manuals, service response and so on) comes in on another level. Personal impression of course.

Have you tried the mindstar g1000 ? I think that one is more complex than the flight1. I have the mindstar and it is a monster. I mean you do need to read the real garmin manual to make the most of it !  As far as the VC being a faithful replica  ok but I have the feeling the nose looks a being cardboxishssss.   I also see something that looks like bird s. ? LOL. Either that or a bullet.Have a look.

Which planes are working with the Mindstar gauge? That's what limits the thing in my eyes. You need a flat panel and the Mindstar gauge itself has to support e. g. two engines or jet/turbine ones and so on, right?I know that the Milviz C310 supports it, but I don't want to fly that classic with a G1000. Again, preferences.

I returned the 182, the VC textures (not the g1000) look low quality, it was expensive in the first place + I wasn't very happy with the flight dynmaics (dont care if it flies like the real, it just wasn't feeling fun to fly).

I have it on the eaglesoft diamond da42. It is a pain to install the mindstar. "stasi" (the mindstar dev) , helped me install it. Btw. Listen to the lady when she says sink rate.Sounds like Greta Van Susteren ?

It's a bug splat, and they can be disabled.

Have you even read the manual? Obviously not. There is a lot more to the plane and the G1000 than meets the eye. Like they say, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.

Actually... I don't think you have read your manual or you would never have made that statment. WAAS approaches? Coupled Procedure Turns and Holds etc. etc....Before you come in trashing a product, you should learn more about it because you are in error.

I'm not trashing your product.I think you should check out the mindstar rendition of the garmin first and only then you can come and tell me I'm in error.Unless you were referring to the bug splats because I called them bird shots.

You are in error. And Greta? That's the real G1000 sound file. Guess you will have to complain to them.
