December 15, 201114 yr Thank you. So after the 20 percent off period, that everyone can take advantage of, it will be full price for AS2004-ASX-ASA-ASE-owners. I am not in a position to say that 60 euros is a whopping price for a weather- and environment addon, but I think it is the first time I have seen in the sim world that customers are not entitled to a upgrade price. (and I am not talking about a "crazy price-off-weekend", I mean permanently).I wonder how smart this market campaign really is.
December 15, 201114 yr I have only purchased ASE 6 weeks ago, and now if I don't upgrade in the next few days I would have topay the full price again for something I just got, ???????? My System: Intel 9700K 4.7Gz, ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHZ, Evga 3070TI 8GB, Noctua NH-D15S, Gigabyte 27" Monitor, Windows 10 64bit, 2xSamsung 500GB SSD, 1x Samsung 120GB, 1x Samsung 970, 1TB, 1TB H/D for Storage. December 15, 201114 yr Play fair, folks. The pre-release event expires on the 19th, when we will have an Introductory sales period of 20% off that everyone can take advantage of and it lasts for 3 weeks. If you're an ASE upgrader who wants to participate in the pre-release but can't for whatever reason, please contact us and we'll take care of you. I do read this as an open offer. So I think Damian has something in mind when he posts these sentences. Maybe drop him a ticket. And note that ASE will remain working, so maybe you'll just stick with it?
December 15, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi,I'll try my best to answer all the questions.First, CoolP, I can understand your predicament and your wanting me to give very specific details as to what is going to make things worth it for you, but I simply can't do that, it's subjective. I'm not a salesman, I'm a programmer. I try my best to answer questions but I also don't want to mislead anyone or have anything taken out of context. Our official feature list is what I refer to when discussing what specific improvements are, and I also try to explain the process of development and the areas we worked on. To get subjective analysis of what all this means and how it might affect your valuation of the products capabilities, you will need to wait for some feedback from those who are using it.To those who feel they got "stuck" in a certain situation in regards to timing of purchasing and pricing, we invite you to please contact us so we can discuss the details and try to take care of you. We want our customers happy, and while we can't be giving products away for free, we will do whatever we can within reason to address your concerns. I'd like to say that trying to technically manage multiple level pricing with date-of-purchase dependency as well as covering a 1/2 dozen different products proved to be a challenge to us and in the end we did the best we could to take care of our customers and make the implementation work (not to mention deal with piracy aspects). We realize not everyone will be happy, and some customers have special circumstances, and if you give us the chance, we'd like the opportunity to try and take care of you. Thanks! That's what I''m looking for indeed. Thanks for your post. I saw Simmarket already warns the users about slow downloads, so the reports may come quickly as the folks are buying. I just hope that some take it serious and can say more than the scientific 'much better now'.I'm not a salesman, I'm a programmer. Can you program a weather only 2012? Sorry, but the answer is left out a bit to obvious, that's why I'm nagging. I think you are doing good as salesman by the way.
December 15, 201114 yr All I know is Active Sky has always been my weather engine of choice, its only got better and better, thanks for the discount Damian, DL ing now.

December 15, 201114 yr Thanks, I do my best in each of my hats, I'm better at some than others....We are working on new wx-only solutions, we've talked about that over in our forum a little.I would be most interested in that as well. I have only had REX2 for about 3 weeks, and really have no desire to replace their textures. But I understand your weather engine is the only way to go, so I have been holding out for this new release to see what might be offered.I suspect there may be many other users, of REX or other texture programs for that matter, that would be very interested in the textureless option as well, if it were to be offered. We've also got demand for FS9, XPlane and P3D combined products as well as separate products for each, all of which are working on addressing. Right now we have AS2012 for FSX. As always we appreciate feedback which helps guide us moving forward. Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 16, 201114 yr I'm a bit outdated and running ASX. I have been planning to upgrade to ASE when I saw AS2012 was on the horizon and elected to wait for this. Is there any discount for ASX users or is this too old? Eric Szczesniak
