January 4, 201214 yr Just wondering if anyone is going to buy extra copies of FSX for safe keeping now that we know "Flight" isn't going to be the successor we had hoped it would be? I suppose MS will stop production of FSX soon, if they haven't already.

January 4, 201214 yr I might but not because of Flight. My copy of FSX and acceleration are kind of banged up.
January 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member I might but not because of Flight. My copy of FSX and acceleration are kind of banged up.I've only taken mine out of the box 2 times. First install and then the second install on the new machine. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
January 5, 201214 yr Did so some time ago!Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
January 5, 201214 yr Author I think I am going to buy an extra copy just in case. Somewhere in another thread a guy mentioned that on Amazon the prices went up for FSX.
January 5, 201214 yr Bought 4 copies years ago, I may sell a couple when the market hits around $10,000.00 a copy :-) Jay

January 5, 201214 yr And if the key server goes off line permanently, what then?Class action lawsuit! Then we all donate the proceeds to Aerosoft to develop FSXI.Cheers,- jahman.
January 5, 201214 yr And if the key server goes off line permanently, what then?My thought exactly, not to mention if orbx/theflightsimstore.com/flight1 etc close up shop, all our online activated software will be useless! _____________________________________________________________________ ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo * E8600 3.33 o/c 4.0 ghz * EVGA GTX 275 * OCZ Reaper DDR2 4GB * Corsair 750W ATX * Lian-LI Case
January 5, 201214 yr If the key server is shutdown , then Microsoft will have broadcast loud and clearwhat it thinks of its customers , and how they will treat in the future anyonewho might consider migrating to Flight.Their credability would be shot to pieces. That would make Flight a totally untenable proposition.CheersKarol
January 5, 201214 yr My thought exactly, not to mention if orbx/theflightsimstore.com/flight1 etc close up shop, all our online activated software will be useless!Exactly why I detest online activation copy protection. I now only buy addons where I get a permanent offline serial! Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
