Really surprised to hear the moderation/delete of Ant's planes discussion as competition to the Lancair... I have bought lots of good payware planes (along with the Lancair) thanks to discussion on the ORBX forum and the knowledgeable folks who post there and have similar interests, and the majority of us on that forum already own the Lancair so I can't even see it losing them many sales if at all, whereas deleting innocent posts like that is definitely not helping the customer loyalty situation, to tell you the truth I picked up the Eaglet in the last couple of days and was surprised to see no discussion of it there in the Pilot Lounge and I almost posted something myself, now it makes sense.Again, really surprised on the moderation direction at ORBX lately, especially since it seems to be so inconsistent so you don't know if you can post about something like that and get deleted yet discussions about lots of other airplanes are apparently ok... at least it explains why so many of the forums are so quiet compared to in the past, probably a good thing to wean us from treating it like a community site as we did in the past and to keep it more for customer support only, so I will look at it that way.

As a business man myself I can tell you that happy customers don't usually spread the word that fast about a product, one unhappy customer will spread the word as fast as bushfires...I will bend over backwards to keep my customers happy no matter what, I'll give them free stuff if they had a problem with my product or the shipping, what ever it is I have to do to keep them happy I'll do, if we can't agree on something they'll get a full refund.PS: I have to say that I don't have to kind of customers, I have some customers that I do not always agree with and are not the easiest one to deal with but they are paying customers and as such I will listen to them no matter what, their $$$ is as good as everybody else $$$, at the end of the day they are the one putting butter on my bread.

Know what you mean about "photo" scenery being flat. But I think that is because folk have been spoilt over recent years with the likes of VOZ and latterly ORBX landclass sceneries.Photo scenery in the UK first came to light for FS8 (2002), Created in its original form by John Farrie of Visual Flight. It was ground breaking stuff at the time even though the resolution was only 4.8 mpp....and yes it had landable water too. Which you could turn on or off if you prefered the photo image of rivers and lakes etc.Just thought I would pop this one in for a bit of nostalgia. Ah for the days of fun when folk took themselves less seriously. :(

It's kinda funny popping over here for a chat with everyone. It reminds me of my schooldays... like a group of schoolboys who've been sent out of class and we're all congregating behind the cycle sheds for a sly fag (that's a cigarette to my US buddies) :(

Seriously Howard, if you enjoy posting on the Orbx forums then you should probably be careful. I think it may come to a point that just making an appearance on these pages will be grounds for being banned from over there whether you voice dissent or not.And I hope you've stopped smoking by now!

Bought a zippo back in 1994 while travelling in vietnam - finally replaced the wick last night and got it fired up for the first time - so i'm up for a ciggie if you guys are (random event, but i was fully talking about taking up smoking yesterday cos now i've got the lighter for it. Also have been trying to get my students to take up smoking but its harder than you'd think - they all think its way uncool).Smoking aside, it's a bit lame we're talking about being scared of the consequences of posting on a discussion forum. If you actually look at the posts here, there's plenty of reasonable, useful, nuanced posts. Freedom of expression is I'm sure something we all value - long may it continue.

Hi all,Stumbled onto this post by pure accident.Now everything seems much clearer to me.I too, had two seperate screen posts immediately removed late last year. Nothing offensive, just some screenies of Ants new Hamilton (Victoria) airport and another with Ants Sierra. Strangely, my previous posts depicting Ants Hamilton Island and another of Murray island with the Sierra are still active. I too, havent posted since. In fact, i removed FSX from my computer all together, just lost the mojo to fly and share my interest with other flight simmers. Still check out the various forums but that's about it.So this is where you guys have been hiding!!!All the best.
