Bigger issues with Microsoft

Especially something SOOOOOOOO important as a little game where we pretend to fly around.Maybe care about something more important in the real world.
Flightsimming doesn't make anyone uncapable of caring about something more important. There is a time and place for everything.

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

I think it's just a bait, Microsoft wants to see people's reaction.Obviously we didn't take it but these people are so obsessed with money that they'll do whatever it takes to take every single cent out of our pockets.I see it difficult to happen and if it did we will see many people migrating to PC or other consoles.

Free mind, young attitude.

Maybe care about something more important in the real world.
Er...this is a simulation forum :( .... I don't think we'd be allowed to discuss religion, or human rights! Also, remember next time you're in a restaurant and the wine is off - just swallow it and think of Syria...

Yeah because maritime disasters and next-generation consoles are exactly the same thing and both situations are directly comparable.

Mmm, you missed the point.

Yep .... he missed it BIG TIME

I have yet to see anyone make a point beyond "change is scary".

Don't be daft, Jim. If none of us cared about flight simulation, then we wouldn't be doing it. The suggestion that it is "only a game" is a very silly one.

Yes, I am sure the dozens and dozens of former ACES employees that Microsoft laid off to pave the way for an arcade game would appreciate your view on "change".
"Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely".Honestly, how much longer did anyone expect "CLOUD PROVIDERS" to offere a FREE email service, without getting something out of it.It's one thing tracking which website you visit, and "suggesting" others that may interest you. It's another one reading your emails to your Mortgage company, and then both suggesting you go elsewhere, as well as informing competeing Mortgage Companies that you you have a Mortage with Company A, and might be convinced to switch to their company. You think the content of your "CLOUD" email is not being read, or the content of your confidential "Cloud" Document is not being read ? :( Think again ... if there is a Financial advanatage to do so, and the ability, what would be stopping that.Reading the new "Simpler" Privacy Terms, there is nothing tat specifiacally protect email or document CONTENT, but plenty to suggest that it is is "in your best interest" to have that information "analysed" to give you a "Better Experience".BIG BROTHER & 1984
---------------------------------------------------------------------------Although some might consider this one step to sending email a pain, in this new age of absolutely no assumed privacy...is to do what you use to do with the old style Bulletin Boards (yeah..I'm giving away my age....(dust)....) ...that is, placing your email text body within an ENCRYPTED ZIP folder, and then attaching that to your email 'send'. This way NOBODY can view the body of your message except the end user that will already know the password that the two of you have agreed upon to open that delivered attachment. I have been doing this for years, where privacy mattered. You wouldn't believe how many people who have used ZIP folders only to archive, have never thought to use this feature to maintain their ownership and privacy of the written word as per emails and document sends. Oh, BTW, in the viewable part of the normal body text email section, you'd only write, 'Bill, (whomever...), this is what we spoke about, etc...' and then they will access the attachment .zip file at their end. Also, if you ever got a .zip attachment file (that you were not expecting from anybody in particular...) that DID NOT REQUIRE an unlock password, you would not access any of the contents, as this could be a viral send, but of course the reader already knew that, LOL! Right?.......

I had this happen once....I went into one of those game boutiques in the mall to buy a strategy game. The clerk suggested I get the pre-owned copy instead to save some $$$$.Went home and installed it but the password to log onto the network was already set by the previous owner, as it was linked to the installation key. There was no way I could play the game without that password. So went back to that shop and told them. They said no refund. I made a stink as it was them that told me to get the second hand one last minute when I had a new one in my hand. After a brief chat with the manager he apologized and gave my money back, admiting they were getting out of the PC Pre-Owned market as this has happened before.I won't buy Pre-Owned ever again as you never know what you will end up with. I was lucky I got my money back by a pursuasive argument that they were wrong in suggesting I switch to a pre-owned game in the first place when they couldn't guarantee that it would work, otherwise I would have bought the new copy if they just kept their mouths shut.CHEERS

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

Steam uses this same system, and still thrives, games are one time use. I can see this causing a huge spike in console hacking an piracy, might actually benefit pc gaming in the end. Greed greed greed greed... Thats if the rumour is true.
Good point, can't wait for the vengeance of pc-gaming against those horrible consoles...
