I was flying with a friend the other day in NRM. We left from CEJ4 Claresholm Industrial and headed west. After many stops and snowstorms we ended up at a great area called Vernon CYVK in BC. I have to say this is a gem of a place and my hats off to whoever was the developer that did this particular area. The visual are stunning and there was great attention to detail right down to the fields and orchards, then add shade to it and it becomes fantastic. This is almost as good as any add on area and airport. Try flying there in the spring to see what I mean. Well thanks again for blowing my mind and making FSX even more real and fun.Josh

The interesting upshot of this post was that Holger intimated that a HUGE update for NRM is in the pipeline. Which I await with great anticipation.Oh, and you're spot on with the description of CYVK. If anyone hasn't been there yet, take a look.

If I posted it here then Holger would not have told us about the massive service pack. But next time I will post in both Forums. Also Holger must have some clout over at ORBX for him to even say anything about upcoming releases, as they said they wouldn't tell us, which showes you that he is on our side of the issue.Hi Josh,thanks for the kind words, glad to hear you're enjoying the Okanagan landscapes. I used to live in Vernon for a few years - surrounded by apple orchards - and liked the area very much. Interesting climate too with hot summers, very cold winters, and wicked thunderstorms. And after each summer storm you scan the horizon to check whether a grass/forest fire is marching your way...Soon it'll all look even better as we're putting the finishing touches on a rather massive NRM service pack Cheers, Holger

:LMAO:I wonder if there forum terms of use will change to include your not allowed to copy info from official Orbx forums to any unofficial Orbx forums, to due so will get you banned. :(

Thanks for the update. I picked up NRM just a couple of weeks ago but haven't had a chance to fly it much outside of Idaho. Still discovering new areas in CRM as well. Great news regarding the service pack.

because I use to interact on Orbx forums with Holger, now that I have been banned from their forums I have no way or chatting about some enhancements I am working on.I used to interact with Holger a decade back long before VOZ and the other Korby stuff. Very helpful teacher. Learned some tricks with Ground2K4 from him. I have several sceneries almost ready to go for Orbx enhancements, Banff, Port Hardy, Exeshaw Mines. The situation with Orbx has taken a lot of the fun out of it, sort of don`t care to develop freeware for Orbx anymore. Recently uploaded CAM3 though. We will see, I might get the energy up again.

You don't need a sin, I was still going to Orbx forums from time to time until recently, I have not posted there for well over a year, out of the blue I was locked out.....I know it can't be because I posted something overthere.....

Perhaps it was because you was so helpfully Alain when you helped a lot in the hardware forum."Sin" was toque in cheek Alain :(

what a shame.. I went there to cyvk and it is all screwey, its like a plateau effect.. the runway is sunken in the ground and it doesn't take long and fsx crashes.. all airport around it are ok and work, great, so I know I have my layers correct. i did notice that at cyka, just south of there.. there were a bunch of houses floating.. i did update starks and I wonder if that has something to do with it ,, i then installed the latest pnw 4a patch as well as the latest lib files..anything else I should know about?
