Thanks Chris. I will make sure to include them in my SmartWings paint. Should be going out to tester(s) tonight!

I managed to get it uploaded late last night. It's been a while since the library was updated, so maybe it won't be too long. Keep checking the library. I'm going to be away from my computer most of today and won't be here to post a link when it's up. I hope you LUV it! :(Thumbnail.jpg

Looks real good. I really like those spec files.. The shine looks much better, and without the"orange peel" effect I was getting without the spec files. I added those to my 700 too.. :)But.... :(I did have one issue.. I was still not satisfied with the shade of canyon blue. But don't feel too bad... I wasn't totally satisfied with the latest PMDG versioneither, when I got it on the sim and checked it out closer. But I do think it's better than theold "dark" version.I had already done my version of the "Warrior One", except that I just used the PMDGversion, and tweaked the color a tad, and added the logo on the nose.Anyway, I checked out your version, and really like it overall, but alas, decided to tweakthe color a tad..I know, you will probably hate my guts, but I guess I'm anal when it comes to that color.. :/But it was a fairly fast simple tweak, and I kinda like how it came out on the first shot at it.The only deal... For some reason dxtbmp keeps downsizing the images for some reason..I wanted to keep a copy at full res, and do have the BMP's, but every time I try to convertthem to DDS, they get downsized in half. Which actually is fine with me, but I did want ahigh res set just for the heck of it..Anyway, this is a video screen shot of what I came up with.. Like I say, this is the first version, and I didn't try to further tweak. But it's pretty close to what I like to see I think, for a freshpaint job in the bright sun. It's kind of a juggle between the dark and the light side..And it's all totally subjective anyway... What seems right to one, might seem off to another.Anyway, overall real nice, and like I say, those spec "shine files" along with the bumpsreally polish em up nice. :)My "tweaked version" Youtube kinda degrades it a tad from the original video.. But you'll get the idea..I use the video, cuz I can show the various angles from dark to light. The one I did was fairly close to this, except maybe just a teeny bit different.. Not much..Mine might have been a tiny bit darker..BTW.. I changed the hue slightly to the negative for a tad less purple, and made it 20 points darker, and20 points less saturated.. The only change to the red was to darken it 20 points.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbID1cipGGA

Mark, use nVidia DDS plugin for photoshop. No downsizing.

The only problem is I don't use photoshop... :(I've been using GIMP for the editor, and dxtbmp for the conversions..But myself, I usually don't run the high res textures, in order to conservememory. My 700 uses the 1024 textures.. That 800 shown in the videois 2048.. The reason for the high res textures were more in case anyoneelse wanted to try them and wanted the 4096 textures.But.. I do have the high res BMP's, so they could use those, and do theconversion themselves..But.. Many may be satisfied with the colors as Jokerswild had them..Like I say, I'm a wee tad picky about that color.. Probably more than others.. :/I've tweaked the colors on all my Southwest jets..

I am pretty sure there is a plugin for Gimp just as well. It really is an unneccessary burden to use DXTBmp anymore...

I'll look into that. I'm assuming the nvidia plugin will work with ATI video?Don't see why it wouldn't if it's a simple conversion program..BTW, as a slight difference in color, "I think this one might be a hair darkerthan the tweak on JokersWild's version.."This is the "Warrior One" that I had made previously using the PMDG versionas the base textures.. I just adjusted the colors a tad, and slapped a logo onthe nose. The real plane is kinda dark.. Only when it's really getting strong sunlightwill it start to lighten up. When that happens, the slight purple tint tends tovanish for the most part, and it takes on more of a blue with less purple. So it's tricky.. If you go too purple to get a good dark side match, it can oftenlook too purple on the bright side of the plane. When you see one from the lit up sun side, you rarely will notice much purple. They start to mirror the sky color more.Anyway, this is the first version I made the other day. After running it a tad,I noticed I need to tweak the locations of the logo a bit.. One side is slightlylower than the other.. :/The logo's JokersWild used are cleaner and more exact than the ones I had, which I had taken from a RW shot, and then tweaked to use on the BMP.This vid, I just hopped from a small airport a few miles over to KHOU, whereI looped around and came in on 30L. I did this to show the various angles, sun locations, etc.. At one point, I showed the bright side for a while. But I think I was just a tad darker on this version.. I tried quite a few versionstrying to decide which I like best.. :| Picky, picky, picky I am.. As far as theairline colors, Southwest is probably one of the hardest to get down, and tomake it even more difficult is that all the various planes tend to vary as tothe darkness, etc.. They get lighter as they age it seems. Also, I also want to restate that I think JokersWild's plane is really nice.. Nottrying to knock his efforts. I'm just always looking for as close to total perfectionas possible when it comes to my Southwest planes. I run those probably 80%of the time. I only run my 600 BBJ when all the airlines have gone to sleep.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87SpXdmXMHU
