March 3, 201214 yr You know the odd thing? I wanted TIR so bad that a very nice person at SOH sent me his TrackIR 4 free of charge. I got it working properly, but never could get used to it at all.It may just be a visceral leftover from my years in the Army. One never wears a cover indoors, and even though I live alone here, I just felt 8P sticking reflectors on my bald pate!I know what you mean Bill, I have a similar aversion to wearing hats indoors from my time in the Army as well (got dropped for pushups too many times for forgetting that rule early on), but I bought my TrackIR4 along with the TrackClip Pro which attaches to the side of your headset, so when I use TrackIR I just wear my normal headset and barely notice the extra TIR led arms on the side of the headset. If you still have that TrackIR you might want to give it a try it works pretty well.Personally I am having a lot of trouble getting used to Flight without TrackIR, for the last few years it has just become so natural to use it with every sim (even driving sims and Arma2), it really is a shame Flight shipped without it as it's a definite impact on first impressions for me. Still hoping MS prioritizes it and I will hold off on buying any DLC until it is supported. --John near KPAE
March 3, 201214 yr Ho Albx,The floor is yours sir. There have been a lot of posts so it is likely buried somewhere.Kind regards, soorryyyyyyyyyyyyy, I found it http://forum.avsim.n...13#entry2244613LOL, strange search function on the forum... couldn't see it in my posts but i had to do a search.....anyway.... for the Flight's team will be very easy to add a support for freetrack or any head tracking software. As many developers now support freetrack ARMA 2 - [Yaw, Pitch, X, Z] ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead - [Yaw, Pitch, X, Z] GP Bikes - [Yaw, Pitch] Kart Racing PRO - [Yaw, Pitch] Take On Helicopters - [Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z] X3: Albion Prelude - [Yaw, Pitch, Roll] Battlefield 2 - [Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z] DCS: A-10C - [Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z] DCS: Black Shark 2 - [Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z] X-Plane 9/10 - [Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z] would be nice to add MSFlight to this list :Peace: Edited March 3, 201214 yr by albx

March 6, 201214 yr No rubber bands, no tape, no sweat.I am not giving up hope on getting native support, I just have a feeling they probably intended to but got left off due to the earlier release date, and they had more pressing on the priority list - just a guess on my part though.I really don't want to go down the path of a big work-around to get it working " for the most part", but if it turned out they flatly state they will not include it, then I guess I am left with only that as an option, or not to continue down the path of Flight - which I really am enjoying, but for me the Track IR support would top it off nicely. And them not adding that, could be a deal breaker for me.I just want it to be there, and that pretty little blue light come on the camera when I launch Flight, like it does with every other flight sim I have on my computer. March 6, 201214 yr I'm trying to enjoy Flight, but without TrackIR support, I just can't into it. I'm spoiled by years of using with just about every sim I own that supports it right out of the box. There's simply no excuse for not having TIR support in a flightsim these days. March 6, 201214 yr Email sent. TrackIR support would be a first sign that MS is actually caring about the sim community. Opening 3rd party development would be another important sign that I'd like to see in the future. Pending that I'll stay away from Flight.
