March 2, 201214 yr Commercial Member Awesome post.I decided to give FLIGHT a chance and downloaded it.I must say, as a game, it's very good. As a simulator, not really, but I like it! And some said, it will be the lead-in for many young people who could be introduced into the hobby (i'm pretty young as well haha). "Daddy... it's not a GAME!"LOL :LMAO: FSX video producer- http://www.youtube.com/user/B767rules

March 2, 201214 yr I'm one of the newbies - to flights sims, to FS Flight and to this forum. I've been knocked out by how good the game is and welcomed to this forum by friendly 'experts' eager to see new members join in and stick around. I can't say I know the first thing about 'pro' flights sims, but FS Flight strikes me, as a self-confessed newbie, as a good entry point. I could get the thing up and running within moments and quickly get to grips with basic flying skills using just my 360 controller. I bought the Hawaiian DLC and the Maule plane DLC (fantastic). I guess I'm precisely the target audience for this game: someone who likes the idea of flight sims but has always been scared off the 'pro' apps like Flight Sim X, etc.I'm hoping to see some great DLC get released over the coming months. If MS have got it right they could be on to a winner here, imo. I have no problem buying into a DLC-supported sim like this is the content is substantial and worth investing in. So far, so good, then.

March 2, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member I must say, as a game, it's very good. As a simulator, not really, but I like it!Welcome to the forums and thanks! I agree with you. I am a hard core simmer but I have a lot of fun with Flight. I spent about two hours on it last night when I should have been working, lol!I think what sets people like us apart from the haters is that we have been able to mentally separate Flight and FSX/FS9 into to two complete different things. Yeah it's like pilotwings, but it's like pilotwings with realistic planes that fly like real planes. I got into a spin last night, I was blown away when it actualy happened. It was an actual, real spin and I recovered from it just like you're supposed to. Not once since I've owned any FS have I seen an actual spin. And that landing challenge where you're landing in a strong, gusting crosswind on what's basically a dirt road with trees along the side - that's was hard to do, and I had fun trying.Just like I sometimes like to play Battlefield 3 instead of FSX - sometimes I like to play Flight. It's just that simple. Noah Bryant
