April 13, 201214 yr Have a look on the News from MS. they edited it. They removed the release date Spring from the announcement! and they changed the wording. Before the Title was called: Journey to Alaska. Now it`s Alska Wilderness pack.
April 13, 201214 yr Have a look on the News from MS. they edited it. They removed the release date Spring from the announcement! and they changed the wording. Before the Title was called: Journey to Alaska. Now it`s Alska Wilderness pack. Yes they changed the name and removed the release date Spring from the announcement, but that does not prove much, if not anything. The game was technically released in March. If it was March when they started Alaska, count 3 months from the first of March. April, May, June. That means that about June first or May 31st is when they should release the Alaska DLC. They said every 3 months, new DLC scenery areas. If they stick to this, you have to be patient. I know it's hard to be patient, but you have to do it. April 13, 201214 yr I know it's hard to be patient, but you have to do it. Actually it is not hard at all to be patient -remember patience is a virtue! And it does come more easily as one ages as well... I speak from experience. I am going to be most interested to see which comes first, the Alaska DLC or the big performance patch for IL2 Cliffs of Dover, the race is on! Don B

April 14, 201214 yr I bet Alaska will be released on the 28th-30th since Flight and all DLC were released on those dates. Jehan Kateli

April 14, 201214 yr Even if they stick to the Spring timeline that gives them til June 22 (in the Northern hemisphere). - Gary Letona
April 14, 201214 yr Before the Title was called: Journey to Alaska. Now it`s Alska Wilderness pack. I wonder if this name change is to avoid speculation that you can fly between the two areas? Alternatively, maybe MS thought the latter title better summed up the DLC? Give people power to really test their personality.
April 14, 201214 yr From the beta forum community manager: "It was never actually Journey to Alaska -- there was a bit of a miscommunication when I posted that blog entry. The official name is Alaskan Wilderness. :-)"
April 14, 201214 yr I wonder if this name change is to avoid speculation that you can fly between the two areas? Alternatively, maybe MS thought the latter title better summed up the DLC? The only reason I can think of at this point for them being so cagey with a simple question is that they don't think we will like the answer. Or maybe they are trying to find out if its feasible to change the answer. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. April 14, 201214 yr Whenever it will be released, it's too late. Well, not 'too late' as in 'I won't buy it' because I definitely will, no matter what, but it should have been out already imho. I am still surprised about how little DLC MS offered after the initial release. They didn't seize (cease?) the moment imho.
April 14, 201214 yr I am still surprised about how little DLC MS offered after the initial release. They didn't seize (cease?) the moment imho. The DLC offered by MS is definitely low and inconsistent. Only single propeller old planes, no helos, no jets, only one extremely tiny part of the world and no extra like ATC, Weather Engine, replays etc. etc. Even if the average human mind believes MS is always right in its choices this time MS has made several huge mistakes and this sentence in not driven by the hurry because I am proud of having never bought a single DLC beside the one given me for free after the beta, the Maule.

Although I am proud of having bought the Adventure Pack and the Maule I also am not too happy with what MS releases nor the pace in which they do so... I am also still hoping that apart from new DLC (scenery, planes) they will announce UPDATES/UPGRADES like ATC or a weather engine with options, but all I see is an announcement about a small update for the aerocaches and XP... So THAT's what they've been working on since the last update...? As I said, I will buy Alaska the day it will be released, but MS clearly has different priorities than I have. MS Flight still is and will be my main flying game though. Even without ATC and a weather engine with options.
