May 1, 201214 yr Just saw this flashing announcement of upcomming OrbX CZST airport: It is just plain incredible... The borders between reality and simulation are starting to fade.. Makes me wonder, where does it stop? Looking at this and other recent releases such as the PMDG NGX, makes me wonder; how much further can the developers stretch FSX' limits? Regards, Frank van der Werff
May 1, 201214 yr You do not stretch in FSX. Instead you use Prepare3d when it steps beyond its FSX base. regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
May 1, 201214 yr Hey Frank, according to JV and his 2012 roadmap he just posted today, it's not going to stop! It makes very interesting reading. If you're at all 'into' orbx scenery then I suggest you drop by their forum and read what they have planned for this year alone. BTW this video shows why they make the best scenery in the world HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
May 1, 201214 yr You do not stretch in FSX. Instead you use Prepare3d when it steps beyond its FSX base. Did you really had to ? By the way, this product and all of ORBX are made for FSX Oh, and I do own P3D
May 1, 201214 yr By the way, this product and all of ORBX are made for FSX They are and will remain so. However, Orbx will soon be releasing a single port over tool that will port over the entire collection of Orbx sceneries, now that will be cool. May 1, 201214 yr That's just amazing, with that type of 2cm/pixel textures! Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
May 1, 201214 yr Just out of interest, what is that aircraft used in that video? Looks good. Rick Almeida
May 1, 201214 yr Rick, that looks like the default 208 Caravan and the default Maule to me. Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
May 1, 201214 yr I bought a bunch of Orbx NW airports couple of weeks ago. I even posted about how I liked the Orbx airport scenery in general, however, some of the runways looked like a slab of rectangle default textures. They sure fixed that one....real good! LOL :) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
May 1, 201214 yr The airport buildings look scruffy, but thats probably what they look like in real life, since the climate there is pretty rough, being close to the Canada/Alaska border, however the surrounding scenery is beautiful.I have flown out of here down the fjiord and across to Ketchican, with ORBX's current scenery, including the new Ketchican airport.I'll have to check Stewart out when its released, but I've already spent a bunch of money during the sale,so I'll have to wait till my wallet recovers LOL. May 1, 201214 yr I've already spent a bunch of money during the sale,so I'll have to wait till my wallet recovers @Ron, ditto. I must admit, I was stunned by the scenery around Darrington. What a beautiful unspoilt wilderness that area is. I trust it will remain so in real life for many years to come just to show us the beauty of Mother Nature. Anyone living in that PNW region or having travelled there in R/L, all I can say is 'lucky you'. @Clem, thanks for that. Rick Almeida
May 1, 201214 yr W16 looks even more impressive. A train will trvel from Harvey to Monroe. Amazing! MSFS
