May 28, 201214 yr Interesting and not at all what I wanted to hear! The C310 was a real pig on my system and I had to get the refund. I was really hoping this one would be better. I returned the c310 as well because of the fps issue. The b55 does not seem any better. Matt Wilson
May 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member For the C310, for those of you with lower end systems, we released a 1024K texture pack. We will do the same for the B-55. This should resolve the FPS issue. Please remember, we are using HD textures EVERYWHERE... So, you can take a slight loss in quality and get better frames or, lucky, you can return it. That will be done for the SP as well. And, just as an FYI, I'm getting a solid 45 FPS at KLAX with everything to the right on the B-55 with the HD textures. I do not have any addons installed. May 28, 201214 yr and try turning off the GPS.... :Loser: Thanks, I'll try flying something else :Loser: And for the record I don't have a lower end system and can fly most addons very happily but there was something about the C310 which tripped it up every time. The T-38A however, it likes! You don't have any other addons installed? Just vanilla FSX and your aircraft? 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
May 28, 201214 yr Down is off; Up is on. Yes, but the position of the word 'OFF' on the panel would imply you move the switch up for off. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
May 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member up is on. Down is off... that's pretty standard everywhere... there might be exceptions but... either way, we will look at this. It might well be a graphical glitch. For me, the T-38A does worse on my system than the 310. I would try the GPS off and see. I never use it but it's always on... (VFR only for me) Vanilla FSX. Acceleration installed. I have to test things on a clean install otherwise... and other addons can cause issues... the more you throw at your system, the harder it can be to keep solid frames. There's nothing weird about it. I suggest that you try the 1024 texture pack and, if that doesn't do it for you, feel free to return it... (that will come with the SP that will be released shortly) And btw, I am sorry about the :Loser: smiley. I honestly thought it was doing a thumbs up. I just find it odd that I am getting 25 fps in the NGX with ORBX scenery at a heavily populated airport and I am getting 25fps in the B55 with default scenery at a Wyoming airport in the middle of nothing. This is with a pretty stout 2500k system. Matt Wilson
May 28, 201214 yr The Off on the panel is a graphics error , the down position on one way switches was off in the subject aircraft cabin photos available for ref .
May 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member I know nothing about the NGX or how hard it is on systems. All I do know is that I'm not getting what you're getting... it's not the CPU in this case anyway... it's the video ram that matters... There about 36 or so 2048x2048 textures including the normals, specs and diffs... that's a lot of textures. So, by cutting down the externals (and possibly some of the internals) you should be able to, effectively, get rid of 12 of those textures. Which will provide a definite increase in FPS. Most people won't notice much of a difference in the quality of the textures (especially if they fly from the inside...) But, in the end, that's what the 30 day money back guarantee (from our site only) is for... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. May 28, 201214 yr I'm having some serious issues with the 55. I get a crash of FSX every time I end a flight in the 55. It's basically a one way trip. If I end a flight, quit FSX or simply change plane -> crash to desktop. Every so often I get a crash when I select the 55 in the aircraft selection. I don't suffer those issues with my other planes (NGX, J41 and Katana 4x). I'm not sure why it should be related to the 55 but it obviously is. I tried a reinstall of the 55 but it did not help. The plane itself flies ok (despite the strange rudder issue) but my FSX somehow does not like her. I'm also seeing serious performance issues despite having a powerful IvyBridge system (3570k, 16GB Ram, ATI 6870). In my NGX I get fluid 25-30fps, in the Katana constant 30 and in the 55 I get 15fps ... in the middle of nowhere. Not sure why it should be this fps-heavy since there a no high end systems in it and the texture and model load is no worse than on the NGX.
May 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member None of our testing team has ever had a CTD on this one. In fact, you're the first person I've heard of this happening too... Not sure what that's coming from but, though I cannot say 100% that it's not ours, there's nothing in the product that would cause it. No weird DRM or DLL's... It's all pretty much straight FSX code. Are you using anything like FSUPIC or other controller systems? Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. May 28, 201214 yr Not sure why it should be this fps-heavy since there a no high end systems in it and the texture and model load is no worse than on the NGX. I'm wondering this as well. Hopefully someone comes out with a solution to fix this problem. Matt Wilson
May 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member It's not FPS heavy for most people. Of all the comments, I've only seen three or four that are about bad FPS... Either way, we will release in the SP a texture pack that is at 1K and hopefully, that will resolve these issues... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Im wondering if the few of us that are having fps issues is due to a setting that doesnt agree with the b55 or c310. Just a thought. Matt Wilson
