Hello,

I am very pleased with that bird, especially the attention on detail and documentation (an that fantastic mission pack), but I have found some issues:

- looping sound crackling when engines running.

- unable to switch on Instrument backlight lights (yes I know the knob)

- Power loss then climbing in icing conditions (FSX Carb heat bug?)

- Crosswind landing: braking after touchdown with Rudder left or right lets this bird break in the direction of the Rudder. Is there a chance off disabling differantial breaking?

... And how can I access to www.milviz.com/forum There is no register link ...

We are prepping a fix for the rudder and trim now... We will post it up here as soon as it's ready.

On touch down, hit the brakes, the aircraft pulls hard to one side, uncontrollable, I don`t have brake message enabled so Im not sure whats going on here.

Same here.Nail%20Biting.gif

P.S.Got it.Thanks Milviz.

Performance is NOT a problem with either aircraft with the default sceneries, except that it does affect the FTX PNW when flying faster. I do notice more blurries with these two aircrafts. The new textures might help, but if the quality is poor then I'll stay with the HQ textures.

I think I'll take a break from this plane for just a bit and see how some issues pan out. I've obsessed about it a bit this weekend, as I've been looking forward to the release since I first heard about it. It's a plane I've spent a lot of time in.

Some thoughts: On the good to great side, this plane is visually a stunning implementation of a B55. Sitting in the cockpit everything just feels true to how the real world plane looks/feels. And unlike some others, I haven't had any real system performance issues with it - it performs on par with other detailed GA planes I fly, such as the Dukes, C90 and C337.

From there, however, I've struggled with the enjoyment of it. Right from the first flight when I ran into the prop pitch issue, to the rudder problem others have noticed, to what seems to be an overly energetic climb rate, things just have't felt quite right in the way the plane handles. I don't want or expect planes to be "easy" or feel like they're "flying on rails", but if nothing else, Barons and Bonanzas are known for their harmonious feel and this plane doesn't yet reflect that. I'll be interested to see how the SP addresses these things.

But there are other things that are getting in the way of enjoyment as well. I find the instrument back light switch difficult to make work, and when it does work, several of the gauge hands don't light up properly for me. And while non North American pilots are probably ecstatic, a hectopascal only altimeter is a constant annoyance flying here in NA (I'm seeing the number 33.86 in my sleep!). I hope an option for in.hg. can be added in the future.

I'm also a bit disappointed in the sound set. Engine start sounds are... abrupt. There's a very brief and strange starter noise and then the engine is simply running. The real things just don't start that way - especially if hot. :-) Flap sounds seem reasonably accurate, but the gear sound is too quiet and not representative of the whinning/whirr that should be heard.

Finally, I just can't seem to get RXP integration working reliably. I understand that the developer does not claim RXP support (though I wish they would include this - and yes I'd pay more for it), but I'd still like to make this work reasonably well if possible. Once you fly with RXP - especially WAAS approaches - it's hard to go back. Right now I can't get the GPS to drive the HSI at all, and the click spot for popping the 530 only seems to work when I have panel lights and battery turned on. The 430 pops up just fine. As others seem to have this working well, this one seems to be all me.

I love the overall look of the plane, I still hope for most of these issues to be addressed as I really, really want to enjoy this one and I hope these comments are taken in the spirit they're intended. The potential appears to be there for a very nice implementation of a B55, and I'm hoping that potential gets fully realized.

Is the rudder issue something that's only affecting some people? I see maybe a 1-2 degree bank after holding the rudder fully deflected for about 30 seconds. I wouldn't consider that to be particularly egregious, and can imagine it being fairly accurate.

The way it's described makes it sound way more of an issue than what I'm seeing - one person described it as causing more roll than full ailerons, so am I 'one of the lucky ones' ? And if so, is it likely to be that I use fsuipc (and the latest version) for every aspect of my flight controls?

For me, the rudder immediately produces roll, with a little yaw, the roll rate is faster than if I simply deflect the ailerons fully, this is at around 140 knots. My controls are good, they work perfect for every other aircraft, I use unregistered FSUIPC so don`t do anything with the controls in there. To test, I just landed the Orbx Lancair at CZST, full rudder, a little bank to compensate, straighten out during flair, no issues.

Also happens here, the Rudder generates more Roll than Yaw. I had a tough job keeping the wings straight with just Rudder during the Power On and Off Stalled due to this. The good thing is MilViz is aware of that, and probably making the necessary corrections.

I must state that this thread is a classy piece of customer / dev interaction. Means that the folks report their troubles and doubts and the dev instantly reacts to them. We often saw some other examples with rude comments or 'dare you for criticising my product!' reactions, but none of them happened so far.

As said, classy by all means on both sides. Don't know if you folks feel the same. A big thumbsup.

We are working on the roll/rudder issue as we speak. Trim and brakes as well... we HOPE to have it fixed tonight. Either way, it will be posted here immediately it's done.

@CoolP.... I can learn :)

Don`t rush it, better to be dead certain after a day or two of testing! Thanks for the following up on these issues.

Completely agree.

Tttocs - I confirm your RXP popup issue.. I was pulling my hair out today trying to figure out did I do something wrong to my panel.cfg because it popped up yesterday but not today.

The RXP only pops up sometimes and I think you're right - I only remember it working with the panel lights on.

The model with lights off somehow must cover the glass so you can't click it, not sure how it works.. Probably the same on the C310 I guess
