We will be sending the patch to all users that we have access too... (sadly, some of the portals do not supply us with client emails...)

And we will, of course, post any updates and links to them here...

Is the patch just for RXP Garmin (knobs in VC) and the later service pack covers other fixes?

The patch will be only the FDE. Service pack will cover the RXP and, again, there is no guarantee we will do the knobs in 3d. We will probably do the same as we did in the 310. A blank slate into which you put what you wish. We will see. JL didn't give us devs access to the code for the knobs which makes it hard for us to show the labels....

I really like the B55 model, but the GPS is the performance hog, not the textures.

Using the RXP GNS 580 I experience ZERO loss in performance. The replacement textures do nothing but ruin the way the plane looks.

I'm now trying to figure out how to get the GNS 530 to open in a single window when clicking on the unit. Maybe Bert will provide his expertise.

Somehow the click spot works only when the panel light is on... Have to give that a look. Personally, I don't have a problem with the shift + x key command to open the 2D popup.

This is true with both the 310 and the B55. I was able to figure out how to use and only open the RXP GNS 530. I will patiently wait for your SP. Please check the rudder. It doesn't behave well after landing and applying the brakes. Thanks. Now back to the Lancair Legacy.

Once the FDE is OK, I'll get it too. I can always add the RXP screen and popup in the 3d knob cockpit. Turning the knobs won't work, but the screen is readable and the popup will work. I always popup and adjust it in 2d anyway, too much of a fuss zooming in and keeping it still with track IR.

Pop it up, undock it, and place it on a second monitor.

I thought I had my FPS issues solved but they are back again. I get horrible stuttering between 22 and 30 fps. If I switch to the NGX, or Duke turbine I get a solid 30. Doesnt seem to matter what area or scenery im using. Anyone else seeing this?

I have to ask this question... about the rolling with rudder... at what point is the rolling starting? are you at full rudder? 50%? Please try and be specific because, quite honestly, it's not happening to me unless i hit 100%.... (this doesn't mean we're not looking into "fixing" it...)

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I hadn't had time to check to get a more accurate estimate. Just to be sure, I uninstalled the Baron this morning and re-installed, without replacement gauges so I wasn't dealing with the distraction of trying to get RXP stuff working. Took the plane up for some nice VFR hops out of the new KJAC and up to cruise at 12,000', and then back to a sea-level airport - KORS and north up to 8,000'.

The rudder problem persists, as do the others I've previously reported. I'm using Saitek rudder pedals, calibrated using FSUIPC with no slope. I have no good way to give completely accurate numbers, but as an estimate based on what I see from movement when I calibrate, I'd say that I'm deflecting no more than 10-15% to get very aggressive roll rates. To put the problem into perspective, the rudder is actually FAR more aggressive in inducing roll than is yoke deflection.

Going back to your earlier response re: easier vs realistic, I would emphasize that this is in no way realistic, even for a linked system. I'm also a real world pilot, though no longer active, and agree with your other "real world" feedback that the Baron should roll with rudder deflection, but not to anywhere near this extent. I'm not a Baron pilot so can't and won't claim that level of expertise - most of my time is in complex singles - but I have been fortunate enough to have flown a fair bit of right seat time in a B55. Being able to move over to the left seat is one of the reasons I'm so anxious to see this plane be all that it can be.

Thanks for listening,

Ok... so we're changing things up a bit... first off, here is the fix for the B-55 (actually an E-55). What we will be doing is, when the SP is done, releasing another plane in the same package. The C-55... (not so powerful engines)... So, essentially, even though it looks the same, it will deffo fly differently. The FDE will be completely rewritten for that as well..

We will not be charging for this. As well, the price will not change till the SP is out for at least two weeks... I will also guarantee those of you who are over the 30 days, should we be late on the SP, a refund for up to 5 days after SP release should you not be happy.

I hope this meets with everyone's approval???

Sorry, I don't need the patch, I got a refund. I don't like Beta testing, especially after the statement such as "the aircraft has been beta tested by multiple pilots with real world Beech Baron 55 experience and is designed to replicate the crisp and stable flying characteristics of the Baron 55". I'm not a real world pilot, I have 10 hrs in a 152 and 4 hrs in a Katana, a few in gliders and been flying the simulators for 27 years (if you count Tomahawk on the Spectrum a sim!)

Good support all the same, good luck with future projects.
