June 27, 201213 yr It seems like every topic on this website turns into a 3rd grade argument..........NO NO NO NO NO AIRBUS>>>>>GOT IT???
June 27, 201213 yr Someone should lock these right away. Besides, FSLabs is producing Airbuses and those will be at the same level, if not higher that PMDG's, so hold tight and wait for December. Before you start talking about 'higher' let's talk about equals and I'll give you an assignment: first load up any ngx plane, go to the back and look through the engine exhaust and you can see through all the way past the intake blades to the outside. Now take a look at this screenie (now I know that in the airbus you can't see through, but just look at the texture): http://forums.flight...h&attach_id=171 Compare the exhausts, and also, take a look at the hydraulics (or whatever) hoses on the landing gear. I never new those were hoses until I looked at a picture of a real a320 Chidiebere Anyahara
June 27, 201213 yr I had heard that PMDG come out after the release of the Dash-8 and B777, it was expected that there would be an Airbus A320.
June 27, 201213 yr I had heard that PMDG come out after the release of the Dash-8 and B777, it was expected that there would be an Airbus A320. William, after the DC-6 (haven't heard of the Dash-8 for a while) and the 777 are released, they are making an updated 744/8. If I remember correctly, they've said they aren't doing any Airbus aircraft. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
June 27, 201213 yr Oh boy before you start saying that the fslabs airbus will be better then anything PMDG has made let them release it first, otherwise you just sound like an idiot. A developer can say how they are going to model everything and how great its going to be be then BOOM guess what what, we have another Airsimmer. And as I recall their fans did the same sort of nonsense of trying to say that their product was going to make anything that pmdg made look like a toy. I wish them well, but lets see how good it is after it comes out, and for me a Track Record must consist of more then one aircraft, Im glad they got talent on their team, but that does not mean instant success, this is an Airbus after all.
June 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member Let's all get worked up over nothing! I know there are some younger guys on here, but I'm pretty sure more of us are a bit older. Can we act a little more like that? Please? First, the argument that something that doesn't even exist yet is better than anything is a little absurd. Second, it doesn't matter. If it's good, it will join the ranks of what's good out there. What does it matter if it's better or not? There's no need to prove one's better than the other - there's plenty of room at the top, and competition encourages companies to press the limit. There's no need to call people a really excited user. There's no need to continuously ask a company something it's stated so many time isn't on its list of priorities. There's no reason to get upset about it. Kyle Rodgers

June 27, 201213 yr Trouble is, Kyle, like most human beings, we tend to have short memories. Until the 'Queen of the Skies' came out and established the first benchmark, how many of the flightsim world had heard of PMDG when they were offering the Beech 1900C/D, or the 737-600/700? Then when PMDG ramped up that benchmark further with the MD-11, all of a sudden PMDFG became a by-word, and its stature in the flightsim world was finally sealed with the 737NGX. But, thanks to that human frailty of short memories, we have conveniently forgotten about the other players in the flightsim development world, so now everything is 'PMDG', akin to Henry's Model-T becoming the clamour. And you have put it so succinctly, the playing field is wide enough for PMDG and everybody else who has a mind to develop a flightsim add-on to have a game. Just my tup' nce worth Rick Almeida
June 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member even AirSimmer failed to get some of the basic FBW done correctly Arrgh, not going to get dragged into these silly childish threads and I agree with Kyle 100% however do you even own the product? Say what you wan't about management etc etc etc... the FBW is coded straight out of the FCOM on that aircraft, every single LAW, FADEC,SEC & FAC is simulated correctly along with the rest of the systems, I use the Advanced but it's all there in the Basic. This is why I say FSLABS, PMDG or whoever is fully capable of simulating every aspect of this aircraft without any problems, nothing magic about the A3xx, no need for backing from Airbus or Captain Sully on the team.. just needs a dedicated team working full time. Who cares if the FSLABS A3xx is not NGX quality, all that matters is we are getting a hardcore simulation for FSX and the more developers churning out these aircraft the better. Rob Prest

June 28, 201213 yr On the plus, GTA 6 is coming out this year! You don't need an Airbus.... Just a 777 ;) - Luke Pabari
June 28, 201213 yr On the plus, GTA 6 is coming out this year! You don't need an Airbus.... Just a 777 ;) Last time I checked it was GTA V (I take it you're talking about Grand Theft Auto?) that is coming out this year. Which I personally am excited about. Now it's just a question of who's going to win the race of the giants like a few years back (PMDG is to the 748 as FSLabs is to the A380)? Back to the dark corner I go... Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
June 28, 201213 yr I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you Airbus folks, but I would look for a Lockheed L-188 from PMDG before they do an Airbus.. :) Billy Bluestar I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam
June 28, 201213 yr Yup, I should think an Electra or a DC-3/4 is more likely before any trips to Toulouse are on the cards. It's unlikely that PMDG or anyone else for that matter would consider making an Airbus unless the FSL one turns out to be terrible, but frankly, I suspect the FSL Airbus is probably going to be a new benchmark. June 30, 201213 yr *an Stop feeding the trolls haha beat me to it. That's the only reason I clicked on this thread lol Dave Swanson
