RealAir C172

It's been asked a few times and no response so I presume that development has stopped.

  • The Legacy is not only one of RealAir's best aircraft, it's one of the best addon aircraft out there period.

  • Why? You're missing one heck of an aircraft...

  • Without doubt the Legacy is one of FSX's all time greats! Do not deny yourself the pleasure.

Why would you presume that? Realair have a history (in a good way) of not making announcements other than "We are going to make XXX" and "XXX is released"

It'll come, the only question is, which one will come first, A2A or Realair? Interesting eh?

Totally agree with Ron.

RealAir don't go for the whole hot air / viral marketing / Facebook namby-pamby .... they just say "we're working on a Legacy", then a year later (or so!) they say "The Legacy is released".

Personally, I much prefer it that way.

I am sure the development has not stopped.   If they committed to starting it, it was for the right (business and personal) reasons, and I'm sure they're still behind it.

I'll second that Ron...

I can smell dinner cooking... just give me a call when ready to serve.

Ok, I hope you guys are correct.  It´s exactly 1 year since the release of the Lancair, an aircraft I fly at some point every week.  I remember there were a few announcments before the Lancair release and a few teaser screenshots although I can´t remember how early before the release.

Fingers crossed...

No offense to realair. I love their aircrafts and I always buy whaterever they  put out right away. and yes, their quality is the best.

But does it have to take 1 year for a non airliner like a 172SP?   :P

Yeah, I've never understood that either. It must be an absolute doddle to produce a diddy likkle plane like that. In fact, why don't you and me Manny, knock one out this afternoon?

So you would prefer the Carenado way, mass producing planes on an industrial scale and poop out planes every 3 months with bad FDE's and without any system depth at all with just some nice textures to look at?

Why not just go with their planes then?

With respect, that's exactly how threads go south.

No worries happens to all of us :P

On the subject of developers releasing snippets, I've just been over to Aerosoft's forum to check Marcel's Pilatus Porter. It struck me that there are two sides to this. On one hand no announcements means no hassle from the 'Is it ready yet?' brigade. On the other hand letting little bits out keeps the interest going, but you suffer the 'hassle'. Mmmm, . Jury's out on that.

That was indeed close! Saved by the bell!

Anyway, Real Air's releases have been incredibly well timed. With both the Royal Duke and the Lancair, they managed to release their product the exact same day that hundreds, if not thousands of people bought them (me included)!

What is even more miraculous is that they did it without a safety net, by releasing them first! Imagine that! I bet anyone here a Real Air 172 copy, they will be able to pull it off for a third time!

Any takers that will bet against me that they can't?

Kind regards,
