Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

Go Girl!! :good:

I feel tempted to re-install fs2004!

how do u take pics in fs9/fsx? i never took pics of anything on my system, i just post pics on social sites like Facebook but those are pics taken with a phone or camera. :Nerd:

how do u take pics in fs9/fsx?

For taking screenshots, I use the Print Screen key and then I paste the capture into MS Paint. Some may prefer other methods, but it works for me. Hope this helps.

That's a few hundred bucks in add-ons for three flights...

Ok I will try out your suggestions re: pics in fs9/fsx

Another very easy to use freeware tool is called CaptureFS.

FSX: key "V" . The screen cap will be in you user section/my pictures/Flight Simulator X Files

FSX wont say anything when you hit the key for the screen cap, but it'll be in there. It saves it as a

BMP file.

I put the PNW Megascenery on my machine and now Seattle looks like it is in a desert. There are some things about it I really like, but I'm not sure I can tolerate the ground textures.

That's a lot of investments you got..I can buy new tires for my old Japanese car Ha!

Do you lock your fps? i7 is a monster for FS9. SInce upgrading my cpu I rarely get below 50 unless in Manhattan using "Manhattan Scenery" at night with everything is set to max except FPS and cloud visibility however, it causes microstutters.

I also wonder if "Highmemfix=1" will do any good for FS9.

Milan - Zurich (over the Swiss Alps {I am fortunate to own Switzerland Professional])

Venice - Vienna (over the Austrlan Alps care of Austria Professional)

Nice - Basel/Mulhouse (over the French Alps care of France VFR)

Ljubljana, Slovenia - Dubrovnok, Croatia (along the fabulous coastal islands)

Narita, Japan - Inchon, South Korea (passing nearby the perfect Mt. Fuji)

and many, many more. Don't want to bore you.

Don't want to bore you.

I guess you will never bore many of us with impressions from these flights (especially when I read Switzerland Professional...). I can sit hours and look at my old screenshots from FS2000 (few), FS2002 (many) and FS2004 (masses). And my little son (almost 4 years old) likes them, too.

You risk ending up having a pilot in the family! :acute:
