July 15, 201213 yr I have decided to start up this thred out of excitement I always feel when I discover there is a great scenery addon for FS9 under development. Of course the term 'great' or 'interesting' depends on who posts it, so please feel free to add to this list. One thing I would ask you for is to skip some very simple projects. Maybe it will help you plan the schedule of your credit card torments (unless it is a top quality freeware, even better!). All images are miniatures of the preview images of sceneries under development shown in full scale by the developers to be found under the given links. 1. July 15, 201213 yr Fantastic to see! Be interesting to see what LHSimulations do with Ferihegy - Aerosoft's Budapest 2007 will take some beating. Speaking of which, too late for scheduling of the credit card, as it's actually released, their first payware, LPHR: https://lhsimulation...ain.php?lang=en Looking forward to their freeware AI package soon to be released. http://lhsimulations.hu/?page_id=435
July 15, 201213 yr Wow some of these look fantastic. Particularly looking forward to the Mumbai one, great to see some airports in Asia being covered!
July 15, 201213 yr Thanks, Rafal! Nice to see the little Erfurt Airport among these huge hubs. It's not far from my home town Dresden, so EDDC will follow perhaps in not so much time. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
July 15, 201213 yr :o OMG those pics look awesome, I have to call my bank and raise my credit limit tomorrow  FlyTampa Montreal looks super real, I work at CYUL and can't wait for that plus Drzewiecki Design New York just owned my Aerosoft New York Addon  FS9 alive and still kicking!
July 15, 201213 yr I think it might have been Mark Twain who said "The news of my death has been much exxagerated." It seems the death of FS9 has been much exxagerated as well. Even if only half these projects come to fruition, my credit card is going to be red hot for the next six months!
July 16, 201213 yr Wow! I had no idea so many interetsing sceneries were being made! All those Egyptuian airports, really had no clue that thety were being made. Thanks for this great post rafal! July 16, 201213 yr Author Ladies and gentlemen, Thank you for your responses. I am glad you are also happy about these great addons to come. I am sure the list will be longer. For instance I already know I forgot one quality scenery to come, so here it is: 19. FlightBeam Studios - Phoenix Sky Harbor http://www.flightbea....php?f=10&t=345 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems the death of FS9 has been much exxagerated All of us and all of the above mentioned developers (not to mention ones like Carenado who are returning to FS9 development) are the best examples of this plain truth. go back to vacation now!!! Of course, of course. But the strange thing I rediscovered about myself is I can't rest effectively leaving the FS world behind! I had no idea so many interetsing sceneries were being made! Gorgeous, isn't it? By the way I heaven't seen (or rather read) you for a while, Benjamin (probably because you left the FS9 community and consequently also this subforum). Nice to know you are around!
July 16, 201213 yr It certainly is! Ones that I'm especially interested in are Copenhagen, Heraklion, Mykonos, Cairo, Budapest, Rome, Montreal, Fairbanks, Beijing and Mumbai (so practically all of them). Must say that each one of them really looks great. it's amazing what developers can do these days. You're right that I haven't been very active lately. I was moving to my new appartment and was relatively busy with work - and playing the Mass Effect trilogy. I got completely hooked on that. Finished it about a week ago, so now I have time for other stuff again, including FSX. I have been doing reviews still though, mainly at simflight. Actually doing two reviews at this moment, one about OrbX airports for simflight, the other about Aerosoft's Yekaterinburg for Avsim. July 16, 201213 yr Author Aerosoft's Yekaterinburg An outstanding addon, like many others made by very talented Russian developers. :good: I was on the beta testing team for this one, so I may tell you I was thrilled since the very beginning.
July 16, 201213 yr Thanks for this thread Rafal. Don't jump to conclusions re Phoenix ...no guarantee that Flightbeam WILL release for FS9 yet. I sincerely hope so however. Personally wrestling with the decision either to buy these sceneries (incidentally no mention of Doncaster by UK2000) or adding the PMDG MD11 belatedly to my hangar(s).
July 16, 201213 yr Wow...truly fantastic! FS9 is far from dead...hopefully PMDG will see that FS9 is still alive and make a 737NGX port for FS9. Bought IFLY's 737 but it does not come near PMDG's 737 concerning the flight physics. Cant wait to land on these airports Asus Maximus Hero Vii // I7-4790K @ 4,6 // 2x8 GB Corsair Platinum 2400 // SSD OCZ 120 GB // Samsung pro SSD 500GB // 2 x 1 GB Western Digital Blue Raid 0Saitek Proflight Yoke + Rudders + 2 extra throttle quadrants // Track IR 4.0 // VRinsight T&T Panel // Logitech 3D Extreme // Saitek X55// 1000 cables...
July 16, 201213 yr KPHX Phoenix would be high on my "to buy" list as it is one of the very few Megascenery areas that do not have a payware quality airport. To have a realistic airport within a wider area of realistic scenery really is the best of all worlds... Ian
July 16, 201213 yr If only SOMEONE would give us a new KEWR the quality of some of these new releases... :( Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
