EZDok, recommend or not

Featured Replies

Hi.

I've been enjoying the NGX for almost 6 months without any problems or complaints.

Things are working perfectly.

Now, I am debating if I'd want EZDok, something I have never owned.

Reading some of the comments on this forum and some others, there appears to be

some people experiencing issues and frustrations with EZDok when used with NGX.

What do people recommend, buy or not to buy EZDoK?

Thank you.

I actually bought this for the NGX a week ago and all I can say is it is the best $30 you can spend for FSX. Took a little effort to understand how to use and setup. But yes it is really great. Just make sure to get the update off EZDOK site after install.

Oh and read the included manual :)

I recommend. I can no longer fly without. Just read the manual, and have a little patience to do the setup.

Some people have reported difficulties using the VC (switches) with TrackIR because of the extra motion. Any comments on that? One thing I was wondering is if I could turn it on only during FSRecorder playback for the purpose of making videos look better?

Yes, I reccomend it. I'm completely addicted to it while I'm flying and it's good for making videos. I remember seeing some videos on youtube explaining how to set everything up, you should search for it.

Yes I would totally reccomend the program. It made using the VC turn from a bearable thing into an awesome feature.

I definitely reccommend, takes a little setting up, around 10 minutes and there are plenty of videos on youtube that explain how to do this. Buy it, it's awesome. Especially in conjunction with TrackIR! :D

There is no frustration using EZCA. As soon as you configure it right you will be impressed. Also upgrade 2.0 on the way with more features. EZCA will bring your NG from banana world to almost a real one.

Lets put it this way: Default fsx is like watching through a camera strapped to the headrest of the seat. With EzDok it is as if you are looking through the pilot's eyes. As an addon you will notice it far more than any scenery e.t.c. Plus the sweeping views to look at panels, FMC and so on are great once you get it all set up. I could not recommend it enough.

100% recommended. Also view

Some of the VERY FEW FSX videos on You Tube that aren't utter rubbish.

V 2.0 commeth :)

Guys,

Do you need Track-IR to use EZDok effectively, or can you just use it with mouse/keyboard?

Thanks,

Will

Works just fine without Track-IR (in fact I prefer it without)
