I am sure someone is running FSX with the same type of computer. This is a fast machine. I need help in getting the best out of this investment: FSX.

 

Please help me. I've tried and I do not seem to get it nice...

 

I am running FSX, WINS7 64 bit, GEX, UTX, FsGlobal, Active Sky, LVLD, REX etc..

 

I am getting 12 frames/s which is down not right. This is driving me nuts. My girlfriend's worried about me, my Dog too. HELP me.

I have 16G of ram and often go just beyond 8G usage, FSX using btw 2 and 4G, usually 3.3G. Plan-G uses a Gig, Win7 about 3G, then theres your weather add-on, background services etc...

 

So 8G would actually be too little: you need headroom for mem appropriations to go smoothly

Win 7 isn't "using" 3GB of RAM, per se, it's just pre-fetching/caching that much. 8GB is plenty. Win 7 allocates RAM dynamically and will scale back if necessary.

There is really something wrong.

 

Your hardware is better and higher overclocked than mine, and with my specs and Word Not Allowed's tuning and with FEX,UTX,GEX, i have a constant 30 fps in good/normal weather to 20-25 in bad very clouded weather,

 

And with the iFly B737 NG in virtual cockpit view AND bad weather AND heavy scenery airport, it can drop to 17 with ALL Display-SCENERY sliders maxed, except WATER: -1 (High 2.x) and AUTOGEN DENSITY: -1 (very dense). (Of course: NO Ground Shadows and NO Light Bloom)

(For FreewayDensity i can normally use 30% except over big cities with tons of traffic)

 

- You can also try to overclock your girlfriend or add more ram to your dog, but i'm not sure if it helps ^_^.
