Pete, I've been reading thie entire thread of posts (it's well over 100 now, I think), and yours is one of the first useful ones in the whole lot. It started out with it must not be any good because it's from Ariane, and then became a PMDG vs Ariane rant, and this descended into a personal rant over who is qualified to give what opinion and who is loyal to one camp or the other. Lost in the mix is that it doesn't appear that ONE PERSON IN THIS WHOLE THREAD has actually purchased the goofy thing (though I know the price scares a lot of folks) and is willing to give an objective review of the usual issues that us hard core simmers really care about, like systems and flight modelling, texture quality, FMC functionality, impact on computer performance and the like. That would be REALLY HELPFUL. Most of the pre-conceived arguments expressed to now are sometimes interesting, sometimes funny, but not really relevant to what at least I want to know, should I spend hard earned coins on this or not. It can take 6 months or a year for reviews to show up on the major sites. And like most, I rely on word of mouth before purchasing. Maybe we should start a separate thread for only those that have actually downloaded and flown the thing to weigh in!regards,

I'd love just as much as the next guy to know what the plane is like. But noone that bought it (I assume at least one person has bought it) is willing to give a decent review, and they might not even be qualified to tell whether the systems are good or not.
