New Ariane Release !

Featured Replies

Hello All,I'll say this, I am one who respects loyalty . . .and PMDG sure has a bunch of loyal customers. I have a few Ariane models, but not the PMDG NG.........guess I'm just gonna have to break down and buy a PMDG just to see how great it really is.Any group who can be that loyal is either all nuts or working with a great product.....I'll opt for the great product.Best to allClay

Randy,Sure, PMDG is "delivering" in many many aspects. No one is saying they aren't. And I'm not saying they won't/can't upgrade the NG anymore, sure they can, and obviously they are doing just that. It's just that there is no "emergency exit" from the cold fact that as of now, the NG does not model IRSs. With all the other systems modelled, I would expect to see the IRS modelled as well, for the reasons mentioned earlier. Maybe in good time this will happen. One important thing that is constantly a part of these discussions is the notion that missing "parts" could be compensated by other, existing, parts of the aircraft. I do not share this point of view. Sure we have to be grateful of what there is etc. etc., but that's exactly where it stops.Tero

Exactly.

I say we start a collection plate and buy it so somone can review it. :-lol

I think I would rather buy PMDG's product instead...

As I am in FSCentre.com FS community, we have sent out the request for 737-900 to do a review and I will surely keep you informed when its done. But how can it be that no PROG page modelled? Thats the page we all use during cruise, dont we? :)

Before you went on your 'trip', you might vaugely remember something about Dreamfleet doing the 727? That's what I've been up to ever since :-(There's some more pic's here http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=11http://www.blandreynolds.btinternet.co.uk/DF_PG_sm.gif

What a rip! Well I wont say that becouse if the PMDG747 was the same price I would'nt hesitate buying it! But thats becouse I know PMDG birds are worth every cent! I know where I will be spending my money! PMDG747, then the PMDG#### and then the PMDG#### and so on! :)

>>>>>>>>the NG pilots on our team, while desiring a IRS System (I want it as much as ANY system not there) do not put as much interest into it as flight sim folks, they do not interact with the IRS any more <<<<<<

What a great decision I made not buy anymore payware (except Russian planes). Not feeling the need to take part in such discussion was already worth that and some of the Russian freeware planes redefine simulation anyway.Good luck with you decisions what you support and what not, guys !Mike

I was waiting to see the price...no way I'm paying $90+ for any addon that is only 1 plane and systems that are not 100% modelled perfectly with no errors. That's crazy.I've been holding out but it would appear that I should've just bought the PMDG a couple of months ago!

A guy names Lenny from Canada has bought the Ariane 737NG, here is his initial findings:"Around $100 Canadian. Sheesh! For 1 plane. I'm a sucker though and bought it. Initial impressions. Framerates are bad. A number of interior graphics are blurry. No 2D panel. Overhead panel lacks crisp and clear graphics. Buttons and switches don't move easily. Seems a bit awkward. Tooltips on all the buttons and switches but don't indicate if on or off.Seems the FMC is ok. Just started programming it. I like some of the lighting on the overhead but I'm trying to figure out if the blurry text and graphics is the way it's supposed to be. If so not pleased especially considering the PMDG 737 (great value by the way compared to this plane).Haven't flow it yet because I'm still fiddling with the start up and looking around the cockpit. My initial impressions - definitely NOT a good value for the cost and am disappointed at the lack of crispness with parts of the VC particularly the overhead panel."You can see his post over on Flightsim.com.... :-roll

Hi allI dont know much about new Ariana release, but for me and other cockpits builders Pmdg B737 NG is stil not an option becouse the lack of ability to interface hardware via FSuipc offsetsShame , thats payware developers totaly ignoring the cockit builders community and not supporting themThats not only Pmdg---all of them without any exeptionIs that so difficult to create and sell for separate price some software interfacing module? If we are talking about realism here --show me at least one cockpit where 99% of actyvities performed by mouseLet us to deside what harware to use and give us an possibility to have more realistic controlsThats flightsimming after all-othervice just another computer game
