Hello All, Well, I thought I would stick my .02 cents in here before this thread gets locked and the key thrown away.For once, on the subject of Ariane, I am going to be conspicuously silent -- let it soar or stall on it's own merits, however, I have to step in for my ole bud, Mike T.You see, Mike and I are old, old, friends. Mike is a gentleman, a scholar and a 'pilot's pilot'. I'm not sure if he has more hours than I do, (in excess of 15K), but I'm sure he is close. To quote the old movie: "he could be my wingman, anyday . . ." and I'm pretty darn picky who I fly with.On top of that, Mike has just returned from two tours in Iraq, (and he didn't HAVE TO GO . . IT WAS HIS CHOICE.), and I am positive that his 'security clearance' is higher than mine use to be, and we all know that I use to work for the boy's in Langley.Mike has offered this flight sim community more than most individuals have read posts' . . . he is a true friend, and excellent pilot and you just couldn't ask for a better 'all around guy' . . . nor a finer combat individual when the fur hits the fan. I don't care for people bashing companies that spend huge amounts of time designing new add-ons for Flight Simulator. I welcome Ariane's new release and hope this raises the bar once again for all developers out there...The price may be high, but so was my first computer when I bought it, and it didn't even have a harddrive.. Advances cost money..Flight Simulator only gets better thanks to designers like Araine, PMDG, Microsoft and all the others not mentioned.Thanks Ariane and congrats on your new fantastic release!!!!!RJ

I think the conclusion is that Ariane had the chance to rectify their standing in the community but they blew it. And I'm sure the frame rates arent nearly as high as the price tag.
