just remember it has terrible default voice but Ivona voice (payware) is very real.

Been there, done that. Had a heck of a problem trying to get it to work with UT2 and got absolutely no help from the dev even after ensuring that I was seriously looking to purchase and was willing to change my AI program if necessary, but there did not appear to be any desire to work with me.

 

I tried and tried right up to the last hour of the free demo period.

Cheers zoran, I came across the webiste but was looking for something that was specific to FSX. This is all new to me, as I have never used simulated voices. I'm still at a loss as to how it all works. So with Ivona what am I downloading? Tens of thousands of single spoken voices as separate wav files? how does this fit in with ATC and FSX? Any explanation would be appreciated, thanks...

 

EDIT: I found a demo of Ivona being used with VoxATC on YT... very impressive...

Howard click the free trail tab and follow the bouncing ball. On the same page you can click mini reader its free and it scans and reads anything you want on your pc in the Ivona voice,pretty cool app.

Voxatc has a 1st officer that can do all of your calls for you so you just follow atc instructions,I never call them. In fact using Fs2crew and Voxatc I can do a full Hotas flight in the pmdg 737 just using voice commands, awesome :-)

Specially when you hear the talk from PFE: it seems as if every word is pronounced by someone else and in different rooms too. Totally spoils the immersion for me. I've been look at ATC addons for years too but it's this kind of crappy voices that made me decide not to bu anything, and I certainly won't buy this one!

Don't those voices sound TOO good...? It's as if ATC is sitting beside you...? (In fact, in this video the pilot sounds like ATC should... ^_^ )

I don't think they sound realistic and neither VOXATC's. But, it has much more different voices than any other addon and they go by region, this what makes it better than others. And, yes I agree the default voices are the best, but the ATC is bad.

 

Now, Proatcx's sounds good but it needs more voices and the ability to request runway change.

That guy is using the worst voice on Ivona, it woeful.sounds like he is the queens butler,

however try Nicole from Australia, upbeat and perky perfect for the job.

Guess I should have stated that it was my personal opinion. Glad you enjoy it though.

PFE works rather well, and I find the original voices very good and immersive.
