November 27, 201213 yr All, I have searched and read several dated post about QW & CS 757 products and gained some insight into each product however both products have been patched at least once since the last post I could find. I also read a couple of reviews including the 757 Captain (really just a compilation of several CS "blocks") I have also read the What are your top 3 aircraft post and only saw a couple mention the 757. So I pose to you all this question: Is there a stable, accurate, moderate to complex modeled 757 out there, and if so what is it? For some reason I've always liked the 757 and think its gotten a bum wrap (as compared to the 767) and like the ACFT it replaced (727) is an unsung work horse. Just my $0.02
November 27, 201213 yr I have bought the CaptainSim 757 and the QualityWings 757 and to be honest I am disappointed in both of them. The QW doesn't offer nearly enough complexity for my liking and the CS isn't a whole lot better, plus there are still bugs present. There simply isn't a LevelD style 757 available today, so my advise would be to save your money. Cheers, Alex
November 27, 201213 yr Now here is one that is not too bad and the price is right! It even has an FMC. http://www.justfligh...tliner-freemium
November 27, 201213 yr Neither of those 757 are that good IMHO, but the QW is slightly better. That Just Flight one above is free which is good, but very basic (eg... just VS for climbing etc, like a default airliner). We are still waiting for a high fidelity 757 for FSX.
November 27, 201213 yr I love the QW 757. It's systems aren't super in depth but functional. The FMC is decent and supports SID/STARs etc. the sounds are absolutely sublime as well as the model. They'll be doing a SP3 when they get the Avro line flushed out that will add quite a bit of functionality. Randy Swofford

The QW version is not as detailed as an aircraft like the PMDG737 but it isn't a CLS aircraft either (and I happen to like a few products from CLS). QW allows you to pick the level of systems complexity - I tend to go for medium complexity but I could do things more RW if I wanted to. If you are not a stickler for 100% RW procedures and you want to fly a fantastic looking 757 right now, the QW is the one. November 28, 201213 yr I personally enjoy the QW 757, it's perfect for those times that I want to do an airliner flight, but want to be off the ground in a shorter period of time than some of my more detailed add-ons. Looking forward to SP3...hopefully it will bring about GoFlight MCP-Pro support! November 28, 201213 yr I'll be the first to say that I prefer the CS 757 and have been very happy with it. I think the modeling, VC, and systems are a few steps above the QW 757. I own both and do not even fly the QW 757 at all. For me the QW 757 was a waste of money. Captain Sim ran a holiday special last December with most of their aircraft selling for 9.99 Euros. The CS 757 is at least worth 9.99 Euros. BTW...I'm a big fan of the 757 as well...my favorite aircraft. James

There are a few features I would like changed, but overall it's killer plane and almost the only one I have flown for months except for a few VFR's in the Turbine Duke which is off course a honey as well. The 757 has always been my favorite to fly in as a passenger as I love the thrust:weight ratio and steep climb rate. It is also nimble enough, the -200 model, to TO at KJAC and you have to love that! Exterior models are fine. Now that I know about SP3 I will put in a request which they may already have addressed: make the colors change for each exterior & cargo doors in the QW control panel. It's nice to have that affirmation when you are using GSX and need to see WHICH of the doors you left open by accident since you can't tell except by looking in spot view. Sometimes you can click those clickspots and it doesn't take, so like the wheel chocks clickspot it would b nice to see them toggle color change when the associated door is opened/closed. November 28, 201213 yr Commercial Member You should get QW, although lite in system side still in terms of flight dynamics, looks of VC and sounds it is totally superior to CS 757.
November 28, 201213 yr I don't own the CS757, but I do own the QW one, and I like it, too. Taking into account, that in the regretted purchases thread quite a few people list the CS757 as a regretted purchas, noone's mentioned the QW yet. Also, I think the QW is better, because you'll have all the 757 versions in one package instead of having to buy an expansion pack for each model other than the 753 (PAX version only). Regards, Flo Florian
November 28, 201213 yr Taking into account, that in the regretted purchases thread quite a few people list the CS757 as a regretted purchas, noone's mentioned the QW yet. I have. I know that there is some appreciation for the QW, which led me to purchase, but some of the system omissions just seem lazy, rather then "simplifying" matters for the user as it is claimed (for this as well as a few other "lite" aircraft). But each to their own. If you don't want a detailed system model, then the QW might indeed fit the bill. Cheers, Alex

December 4, 201213 yr Has anyone got the QW 757 working in P3D? I might consider looking at it, if it works in prepar3d. Brought P3d to my ssd and uninstalled fsx for now. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
