A2A tweeting about new product before XMas!

At what point does this break what another vendor worked so very hard to fix, and how am I to know which is what/why/where?

Guys - it doesn't break anything. If it doesn't work with a particular aircraft (maybe because it duplicates a feature that's already present), you turn it off for that aircraft. It takes one click of one button and you're good. I've shut down the current version with the Dodosim Bell 206 (Accu-Feel doesn't do helicopters) and the Aerosoft/4x Katana (which includes its own vibrations and sounds). I use it with others. That's it. Nothing at all complicated or painful or worthy of angst. Chill!

EDIT: Hook beat me to it.

Yes, but you said it so much better than I did. :D

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

I wonder if it will be a free update for 1.x users.

I guess you missed the video posted on the previous page of this thread and on the A2A site. It highlights all the new features, and the upgrade price for existing Accu-Feel customers will be $5, with the full product being $20 (if my math is correct, "Full purchase price of version 1.0 applied to the new version").

Ah, thanks for the update. I missed that info and I am really looking forward to this upgrade.

I guess what I am saying here is that if we inform them of an issue... and they do nothing... even though we offer to send them the products for integration... what does that mean? Forget about US... what about YOU?

Anyway... nuff said on that one... (shoulda kept my mouth shut...)

thank you, much appreciated..

after all we are getting a bit tired of you whining on this subject that they "forgot" about the "almighty" milviz

each and every accufeel post you try and make an issue on this

let go brother.. if they forget about you, move on.. if it is obvious they not wanting to open the door, why keep banging on the door..

I use all your aircraft and just switch off accufeel for them.. easy as that.. best of both worlds.!

Unfortunately lets be frank, it is impossible to make an add-on 100% compatible with each of the 100 000 addon planes that is available

Just live with it, It work great with 99.5% of all planes and that is good enough for me.

All I gots to say on this matter is that MILVIZ is a force to be reckoned with in the future. Some of their aircraft just suck and some are very good, but the important point is that they just keep getting better and better. A2A was the state of the art a couple of years ago, but if they don't do their thing to play nice with the upcomming excellent developers like Milviz, they won't be. At least not for me.

but if they don't do their thing to play nice, they won't be.

What exactly did you expect A2A to do about the Milviz aircraft? What CAN they do? And why does this fall on A2A and not on Milviz?

This is really weird.

Weird?

What do I expect? If "Milviz", who to the best of my knowldege is the head cheese at Milviz, says that they won't even bother to respond to an Email, then I guess I would expect them to respond to an email  I have half a dozen addons trying to communicate with each other, and Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a damn about the politics involved, I just want a seamless simulation experience. I don't always succeed, but I try not to be a a really excited user[i didn't actually write excited user] and just call 'em as they come. I'm excited about AccuFeel2.0, and I am very satisfied with their current product, but I hear what 3rd party guys are saying.

they won't even bother to respond to an Email

That's not what he said. Perhaps he's said this specifically in other Accu-Feel threads. If I'd known he posts this whenever Accu-Feel is mentioned I wouldn't have been quite as gracious.

Milviz makes some aircraft that provide their own shake, etc. Accu-Feel provides shake. You can use one or the other, it's unlikely that you could use them both together. This is not a problem, as you can always turn Accu-Feel off for that aircraft. Can you turn off shake effects in Milviz aircraft? How does this affect OpusFSX or EZDok?

I never did get an answer about turning off specific effects in Accu-Feel and if that worked with the Milviz aircraft in question.

I own Accu-Feel and the A2A Cub. I'll be buying more A2A aircraft (and maybe other programs) in the future. At this point, I can't necessarily say the same about Milviz. Sorry.

PS. Finding out that a developer lacks certain social graces is actually quite valuable. It will save me money in the long run.

Trust me when I tell you that Milvez is on the right track. I can sense these things in my bones. IMagine if Flight Simulation companies worked together...it isn't hard if you try,, . a brotherhood of Flight sim companies....

I don't care really when all is said and done. When I buy a product, I want it to be as painless as possible, and hopefully Accusim 2.0 will be that.

As developer of the B55 that cost more than Accufeel that has said no to adding reasonable features like DME in a twin because it's not "flying off the shelves", Milviz should understand as well as anyone the need to cap project scope and contain costs. The decision is understandable for both developers at these prices.

For a $20 addon A2A have done well to provide the amount of customization they have. I dont see why anyone would expect them to make special versions and test and re test with so many addons. If a feature doesn't work or isn't needed then that feature is off for that plane. If Milviz planes are high enough fidelity to not need that feature eg stall buffet then fine it's off in accu feel.

What on Earth are you all squabbling about?! Accu-Feel is a great little add-on. You don't HAVE to buy it. If you do and it doesn't work with some aircraft you can SWITCH IT OFF for them. In fact you can switch it on or off for any aircraft although if you do that I fail to see why you bought it in the first place?! The video A2A posted is excellent and could not demonstrate it's benefits, effects and use more clearly?

A2A and Milviz are in my top 5 any day. There is NO ISSUE here? I'll be buying more from both of you guys.

Now get off the computer and enjoy the Holiday in the real World :P

....and have an excellent New Year :Peace:

Happy Christmas

Why does A2A have to make their product work with Milviz and not the other way around? If there is a known issue by Milviz, why can't he update his aircraft so it works properly with A2A?

Just sayin...

There are many good add-ons for FSX, there are a few remarkable, my last FSX install had just a couple of add-on aircraft - RealAir Duke and A2A's p51d Civil, both remarkable, with Accu-sim making the A2A product even a more deep simulation of the real aircraft.

I never tried Milviz products, but a few fellow simmers I consider, told me the B55 and the C310 were great, so, I can only believe they certainly are :-)

If I ever reinstall FSX, I may try a Milviz ;-)
