What addon combination brings your system to it's knees?

The F1 Mustang and Ultimate Alaska turns my sim into a slideshow, anything else and it seems fine - although I have not been near PANC for a while...

AH right... The mustang will make things go even slower than the NGX. So my combination is YMML and F1's Citation Mustang

NGX, REX Clouds, My Traffic 5.4 (25% Airline/10% GA), Opus WX (overcast w/rain), UTX lights @ EWR sitting on runway 11 = as low as 9.9 FPS

Nah, I'm more talking about low frames.... :)

I don't have low frames. I just have a too fast visual reception. :Silly: Wait, that's a simmer's way of euphemism. :O

Uh, ya you do. Nobody has an invincible system ^_^

Any complex aircraft, UK2000 Heathrow xtreme, My Traffic 5.4. Something happened and my framerates at this airport have gone right in the tank.

I seem to have trouble with Aerosoft's US Cities Los Angeles.

I seem to have trouble with Aerosoft's US Cities Los Angeles.

Just have to say me also. With FSDT KLAX I am down to like 11 fps lol..

I dont say this too put the company down because they do exceptional work, but 99% of Aerosofts airports are heavy hitting on my system.

Not all, but quite alot.

I don't blame Microsoft because after all FSX is only, what, 8 years old?

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

For me it is : FSDT KJFK, Aerosoft Manhattan X, NGX , REX Essentials + OD @4906, and 80 % traffic avg about 25 FPS with bad weather and a few cloud layers. But my sim has been in the sweet spot for some time so I am enjoying every moment I get to fly :)

25 is good! Anything below 20 is getting bad, but with all of that, you should really be proud.

At least threads like this let me know not to worry too much after loading PANC and UT Alaska and watching a slideshow... with some traffic and hit low teens with tons of stutters. It gets better by tuning ut alaska significantly. I've actually ditched aerosofts panc altogether as well, using a freeware panc with self made photo-real ground scenery.

After much trying over the last little bit to find some kind of acceptable combination of settings for flying complex planes in/out of complex airports, I've finally turned to fs9 - it's been quite enjoyable flying the md-11 and the ifly 737 with 100% traffic and getting frames in the 50's-60's at big airports. A few places get a little lower, but not by much.

fsx can stay my small plane & alone in the sky, bush / mountain / rural / photoscenery sim. :)

But part of my problem is that I'm quite fussy - 20 fps is the least that I can handle, I usually even find that to be quite objectionable and immersion breaking.

The almighty ngx :), but reducing VC textures to 1024 which got it under control, and clouds.
