January 17, 201313 yr I have tried the tests as mentioned by Scott (A2A). I have FSX set to severe turb. I have winds added as well. I see my plane jumping around in VC mode and external. I have no extra from Accufeel. No creaking or groaning, no winds sounds nothing like in the video shown above. So I'm assuming it isn't working. I guess I could try an reinstall. January 17, 201313 yr I have FSX set to severe turb. I have winds added as well. Try setting custom weather to moderate turbulence and try again. Set the sliders to the middle or right, 99 but not 100. Switch between Accu-Feel on and off. There's a possibility that 100 causes problems on some sliders; I know it's been mentioned by A2A. January 17, 201313 yr Here is an error message I am receiving. Try setting custom weather to moderate turbulence and try again. Set the sliders to the middle or right, 99 but not 100. January 17, 201313 yr given the error message I'll try the reinstall That may be the error message you get with some slider set to 100. All I can remember now is that there was a problem, and I don't remember where it was posted. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! January 17, 201313 yr That may be the error message you get with some slider set to 100. All I can remember now is that there was a problem, and I don't remember where it was posted. Hook It's specifically the "Clear Air Turbulence" slider. Until the update is out, A2A is saying to turn it OFF (all the way to the left.) That is what causes that error message, but that alone is not causing whatever issue 1st fltsim guy is having. I have tried the tests as mentioned by Scott (A2A). I have FSX set to severe turb. I think A2A should increase the volume of the turbulence-related creaking, but in the interim you can adjust volume sliders (use the Global Accu-feel Volume slider as well as the ones in FSX sound options) Sorry if you did already try that and I missed, my internet access is going up and down so it's hard to check for posts for me right now.
January 17, 201313 yr OK I reinstalled....and adjusted the sliders as is being recommended....tested with sound environments and also global turn on and off... It's working for me now..! thanks for suggestions guys. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
January 17, 201313 yr It's working for me now..! Yay!! \o/ Congrats. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
January 17, 201313 yr I certainly get the creaking with all the default sliders as they were when accufeel was installed I do have my engine sounds down a bit in the fsx menue though. Fortunately not had that crash,do not have accusim installed on the planes I have tested with. I would be inclined to try the reinstal first Regards 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
January 17, 201313 yr Hummm....I tried all the features and everything seemed to be working...until I cranked up the turbulence. Nothing! I read though the suggestions above and tested. If I turn on FSX turbulence it works fine. If I shut it off and rely on Accufeel, cranked up to 100 % with winds set in fsx I get nothing...and I get no sounds as suggested above. So don't turn it off in FSX!!! Accufeel only enhances the turbulence that FSX provides. SkipperMac
January 18, 201313 yr Erm, still having problems. I've done a complete reinstall of Accufeel and still no turbulence. It's turned on in FSX, but no matter how I try, even with strong wind in a thunderstorm with turbulence set at high (not max) I still cannot make any differences with Accufeel. Are there some other parameters I need to take into account such as the wind options in FSUIPC, or REX, or Opus??? January 18, 201313 yr Are there some other parameters I need to take into account such as the wind options in FSUIPC, or REX, or Opus??? Make sure you haven't got turbulence effects turned off in one of these programs. Some aircraft like the PMDG 737 NGX will not follow the autopilot properly if there's any turbulence, so people often turn it off. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! Hook Hi Larry, so I have to choose with either turning the turbulence on or turning it off for the benefit of the NGX? January 18, 201313 yr Hi Larry, so I have to choose with either turning the turbulence on or turning it off for the benefit of the NGX? Not Larry obviously, but I've been concerned about this and have opened at least one thread discussing wind-shift/wind smoothing issues with the latest Active Sky 2012 and PMDG products. It didn't get too much response. I think, but don't hold me to it, that you can have turbulence ON in both FSX and completely UNsupressed in FSUIPC, and it will be alright with the NGX and other Heavies as long as you are using Active Sky DWC--supposedly this will then allow turbulence to register with Accufeel. I have no idea about OPUS and where it stands on turbulence or wind shear. On my last flight, with Active Sky + NGX, I didn't experience any S turns, but I don't know if that is definitive. For all I know, my next flight could have me weaving all over the sky like a sidewinder. It seems to be a subject that nobody really knows the right answer about. It's ashame that the designers of the various software components cannot provide more clarification on how their products interact with each other.
