every pc setup is different, not everyone has these problems. Read the manual and follow each step to setup the 777.

I think I experienced the same. After takeoff, it wanted to dive and was not following commanded speeds via the A/T or manual override.

It was the same method of AP setup i was using prior to this update, prior to v1.0 I had no problems, its only now Im having problems, the T7 isnt the one only FMC aircraft i use, im familiar on setting them up

there is a value in the code thats not working for me, but....

only paid $10 for this, its no loss if i cut it away

Im not going to do my head in with the CS ticket system just so I end up with a reply with "just reinstall FSX" which seems to be the common answer from CS

I was just hoping for a gap filler until the PMDG arrived

Read the manual and follow each step to setup the 777.

The manual is not complete, and from your statement you seem to be implying that people should follow the operations guide, which is specifically not available at this point.

Shane Gavin

How come you didn't respond to that point?

For one thing, I'm having too much fun flying my 777, and for another thing, Captain Sim made it clear on his website and forum, the this 777 is not completely finished and will be continually updated and improved.

The AXE is released, but also not completely finished. I don't see the difference.

Does anyone else have an issue with the yokes in the VC locked all the way to the side and not responding to inputs from the joystick? Battery on, APU fired up, etc, but they don't seem to want to come around...

It's the hydraulics, they sometimes fail to initialize. You can turn them on with the switches on the upper overhead, but they're almost impossible to reach with the default camera views. If it happens, you might want to load up a default C172 first and then the T7.

I replaced all the engine sounds with TSS HD 777 sound (both PW and GE), although I haven't even heard the original (so that was a little unfair), so the engine and flap sounds were really wonderful.

The original sounds are from TSS too.

A short while ago I asked about a HD soundset for the 777.

That will come but after a couple of others soundsets.

They advised me not to replace the CS777 soundset with my TSS 777 soundset as the CS version was custom made.

My thought is why is this called a "Service Pack"? I've been involved in software for 20 years, worked for major software firms, and never have I heard a 1.0 release called a Service Pack.

Shouldn't 1.0 be the initial release? Like, they collect all the data from their "Test Pilot" program, resolve ALL the reported problems, THEN release the 1.0 version? I thought that was the original plan?

I saw post after post in the CS forums that 1.0 will be the "release" version, out of "Test Pilot" phase, and ready for the general public who is looking for a complete, properly functioning 777.

I have no problem then continuing to fix the plane...but to call it 1.0?....to a majority of folks who understand dot releases, 1.0 signifies a properly tested, QA'd product that the company is confident is free of obvious bugs, missing code etc.

So, what do you think... all you Test Pilots who bought into the program eager to help CS create the best 777 on the market...is this 777 you'd sign your name to as being a 1.0 candidate, ready for the general simming public as a complete and properly functioning 777?

We have no knowledge? Dude, its FSX.... its far from the real world... Nothing is perfect, there is not one plane that even comes close to being "Exactly" like its real-world counterpart... Some come close but close obviously isn't real-world is it? I understand some people like everything, but I have realized that I will probably never enjoy my time simming if i nit-pick every single plane and think it has to be perfect to be flown... Don't get me wrong, I love realism, i try to stick to it as closely as possible, but in FSX I will never truly get there, thats why its called a Simulator and its made for entertainment. So yeah the CS 777 has bugs, but it flies, so while im waiting for the PMDG 777 I can enjoy flying a 777...

I couldn't have said it better myself... People just bash haphazardly without even having tried it themselves... if they did they would realize its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be... and if it really didn't work no one would be flying the planes in the first place.

Sadly it's a bit of a pet peeve I've had with many threads here...as soon as a discussion about any product that just happens to be the same aircraft type PMDG is working on or released, some PMDG fans (notoriously the Ngx/777 fans in particular...) often either try to or are actually successful in derailing the topic at hand with (mostly childish or uncalled for) bashing of the aforementioned competing product. It's beginning to look like mentioning Ifly's 737 or Captainsim's 777 in a favourable light is taboo for some persons in the FSX forum.

The worst thing about it is...most never even tried the other product in the first place (easy to tell)...just reminds me of the old debates regarding the sega saturn/ sony playststion/ nintendo 64...

Sorry for my marconic english,

Xavier

The problem is all these low post number posters magically appear and go on and on about how Captain Sim is great, bug free, and any problems are the fault of the user being too stupid not reading the manuals. PMDG is as close to reality as you can get, everything is programmed in meticulous detail. Captain Sim is not even close to similar, so don't be surprised when you claim CS and PMDG are equal quality that people say it's not true.

I'd like to know how realistic the 777 is. The FDE, the FMC, VNAV/LNAV logic, system modeling, fuel etc for the different variants. If I buy the 777 freighter will it just be the -200ER FDE and systems?

Ridiculous to pretend PMDG is not 99.99% accurate and compare CS to PMDG. Just ridiculous. CS is notorious for getting basic operation wrong and refusing to fix bugs in previous products. All I ask is that people say whether the 777 operates realistically, not default 737 like systems with a pretty exterior.

The Plane is fine, its flies realistically, it obviously has its quirks (ex. VNAV) but its probably the closest thing we have to a 777... its far better than anything thats out SO FAR and im being honest when I say that.... at the end of the day, this thread is not to bash, I thought it was to have people who already purchased and used 1.0 tell others how the plane works for them and what areas it needs work in... But when there are 20,000 different people bashing a plane they never even bought it kinda is hard to judge from those type of people. I'll say this once, the CS B777 is nothing like their older products, its an improvement and most of all it has potential.

P.S. I only post in forums that strike my interest which is why I have a low post count..
