January 31, 201313 yr Press the "V" key !! Any suggestions on quickly saving the pic as JPEGS? 'V' key makes bmps whitch are too big for the forum,(or rather slows it down) and opening the pic in paint and saving as jpeg is repetetive. I know of the addons that do this, but is there somthing that can be changed within windows to just save as jps rather than bmp? Cheers! Regards Luke M

I know this isn't an option for many people. Let me do a little research on the subject, but my initial impression is that you will need some sort of aftermarket program to change image types. January 31, 201313 yr To quickly change the bmp to jpg in Paint: Open the image in Paint. It will be a bmp image (default) Click the blue drop down box in the upper left corner Hover over "Save As" then hover over "JPEG Picture" RIGHT CLICK on "JPEG Picture" Click on "Add to Quick Access Toolbar" This will put a little icon in the top of the Paint window. Now, anytime you open a bmp image, all you need to do is click the icon, and you can save it as a jpg. 2 clicks is about as close as you can get. There is no way I have found to make a jpg the default image type in paint. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. Hope this helps. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
