Best looking for FSX airports so far

Featured Replies

I'm mostly into the best looking airports and I have ORBX CZST, FSDT KLAX,JFK,Vancouver, Flightbeam KSFO,KPHX and FlyTampa Montreal. Is there any airport that I missed similar to these in terms of quality? Tell me if you know some.

Depends on where you want to fly. FlyTampa's Dubai and Kai Tak are superb, too, but obviously they're both far away from your other addons. Another great one by them is Sint Marteen (if you get that one, make sure to get the "Complete" version, which includes the airports of Saba and Saint Barth's), and that one is nto far away from the US, either.

Also, Aerosoft's Innsbruck is an addon, that is really fun to fly to and from. You don't only get the airport itself, but also the surroundings, which make this airport such a special location and a real thrill to fly to. Visuall it might not be totally up to ORBX, FlyTampa and FSDT, but it's pretty old, and for its age, Innnsbruck is fantastic!

Another favorite of mine is ORBX's Milford Sound in New Zealand, it looks really nice, FPS are great, and with all the animations it is nearly as if you sat there yourself.

ybcs and yscb and ystw from orbox are up there as well and are not bad on fps as well

Fly Tampa Dubai is the best looking one for me. The immersion with the airport surroundings, a complete Dubai city makes flying in and out a stunning experience.

I also like Mykonos (Greek island) published by Aerosoft very much: it has the complete island rendered.

Why do you put so many spaces between words ?

FlyTampa's Kai TAk is certainly the biggest and most detailed project I have seen. I believe Dubai's by FYlTampa is also as good. That will be my next purchase!

-- Now, in real life, I am stunned by the beauty of Dubai. My Goodness, the entire place looks like a giant palace. That place is rich like hell. I thought I had seen it all on planet earth until I saw Dubai; probably the richest and most beautiful place on Earth.

Orbx CZST to FSDT KLAX is quite a range and makes it a bit hard to narrow down what you're looking for. I'll let the tube guys comment on the bigger stuff, but on the GA side, Orbx is just about the only game in town for payware. I have a fair selection of their NA airports, including CZST which is, indeed, very nice.

For larger planes, KJAC and PAKT may be attractive, and KWYS, while a smaller airport, also has a long runway as it's a fire tanker base in the summer. The new KSFF is my current favorite - a busy GA reliever airport with tons of both atmosphere and facilities.

The free Quebec City airport (CYQB) as well as the free Quebec city scenery is top notch.

What company made these? Link?

VeryBumpy, It's freeware at QuebecFSX.. a group of passionate that reproduce different airports from Quebec province.

http://okad.ca/quebecfsx/scenes.php

You will find there a list of free airports, sceneries, meshs and their links to Avsim file library....

CYQB is a must from Gilles Boily. Now in version 3. From the same author, the airport of Three River CYRQ (Trois-Riviére) is also a must.

I contributed with a landmark near Quebec city. A shipyard along the St-Lawrence River that you can find here. http://library.avsim...php?DLID=143142

You can even find my real world Piper Cherookee on static display at CSH2, the Isle aux grues. A small island in the middle of the St-Laurence river where kids go to school every morning in a Islander bus plane. Nice hop from Quebec for a walk or cycling.

And here is the video of the flight from CYQB (Quebec) to CSH2 (Iles aux grues) to take pictures of the buildings so Jean-Pierre can work on the scenery.

Enjoy..

Pierre

P3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...
C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...

I too love FlyTampa Hong Kong! The colors, detail, proximity to other major airports, and terrain variety are excellent.

There are also some high-quality UK2000 airports. I like EGKK.
