I'm from Europe...But I live in New Zealand now...Enough said :)

And here is a note on how the atmosphere might change on AVSIM (boooo)... IT'S US GUYS, it's not some mysterious force in the background, or the "evil" moderators making sure things go by the rules :P . It's a forum, so in a certain way we're the ones setting the mood, and defining the quality of communications here. If we do just as well as the people managing AVSIM, we'll be fine B)

...which is really ironic, coming as they do most often from folks who've probably not paid any taxes at all...

LOL Amen! I was eating lunch one day with a couple of guys from another jurisdiction (Richmond) and in that jurisdiction, lunch time is OFF THE CLOCK, which means they are not working for that hour. One of the guys was a sergeant and this citizen approached him to ask a question which at the time, the sergeant could not take care of since we were eating. The sergeant tried to explain to him that he needed to call the non-emergency number since it was not a life and death situation and he could file a report over the phone for that.

Well, the guy caught an attitude and told the sergeant I pay your salary. The sergeant stuck his hand in his pocket, pulled out a quarter and flipped it on the table and told the guy "there is your share, have a nice day". LOL That was priceless! hahahaha

I most honestly and sincerely wish everyone would "think twice" before posting. I suspect the quality level of the posts made would rise considerably...

We should heed Bill's words. ALL OF US.

COSIMbanner_AVSIM3.jpg

question was if i got banned or not...when changing my IP adress every day.

I will repeat what Chase said, just so everyone is clear. We do not ban folk for having multiple IP's. That is not against our terms of service and would be imminently stupid if we included something so lame brained.

Since Word Not Allowed got banned it's only gonna be downhill from here mates.

You think? Why is that?

Before writing or speaking, ask yourself if what you're planning to write or say is...

  • T rue?
  • H elpful?
  • I nspiring?
  • N ecessary?
  • K ind?

If the answer is NO, maybe what you are about to commit to the world is best left unsaid.

Are there statistics somewhere on this? I'd be interested to check this out. Let's dump on poor people some more. Yeah, that's a great idea.

Maybe you should take your own post above to heart. "think twice before you post".

I think Fr. Bill was referring to young folks who don't work yet or pay taxes (which represents some of our community).

Sincerely,

Interesting discussion. Here's a fact for you to chew on.. I have had my life threatened multiple times over the last 17 years. So have other staff. Only once were those threats to me from an American (he's still rattling his puny man sword around, as recently as last week, and is from Texas.. ). All the others were from outside the U.S. And all because we enforce our rules... Imagine. A flight simulation site.

Not George W ????

You think? Why is that?

Well, it just seems like yet another member of our relatively small community sent off to Brood Hill. And a rather prominent one at that =(.

I am happy that you find that funny and deserving of that kind of response.

And so the nearly 100,000 other members of AVSIM won't keep us from going "downhill" mate? Sounds like wishful thinking to me. I think you will be pleasantly surprised, or probably not from the sound of it.

I only threatened him for some Virginia Ham. Nothing more.

It would be a pleasent surprise but I never realised there were that many active members here. The way people talk most of those accounts haven't been used in a long time...
