agreed, I suggest you arrest Austin and his team to keep them away from their computers.

Great News,I think this is what a lot of developers have been waiting for.

Lets get a confirmation from the team and if indeed 10.20 is final I'll be buying XP-10 64-bit, let see what 3PD can do with it....do I hear "eye candy sceneries" on a system with dual CPU and 64GB memory...lol?

Lets see if the X-Plane team listens to the end users & 3PD request. 3PD will start rolling out exceptional addons once there is a sense of stability.

There's still the non 100% CPU usage bug at startup in the 10.20 final (64-bit). Anyone could confirm this?

Enable the FPS OSD inside XP. Go to Settings->Data Input & Output and check the FPS box.

With the simulation running, look at the "CPU load" at the upper left corner. It would show 0.999 (=99,9%) if you are using all your CPU power.

Today, I found a simple workaround. I'm going to fill a bug report to Ben.

Goody, gotta try it when i get home from work, with my photo Ariel las vegas scenery and OSM download. Hope 3rd party can improve X-plane wrapping paper. Have to turn auto-gen off outside the midwest lol.

Erm... I think there might be a slight misunderstanding. I think the "final" is just in reference to the 10.20 beta cycle. Expect 10.30 betas to start rolling out next. For now, the 10.20 is cooked and ready to eat and will be the version supported by 3PD's until the 10.30 betas are done and the RC for that is released.

like have said a couple times before .... xplane 10, will be mostly in beta until xplane 11

Glad to see 64-bit go final, let the fun begin!

To celebrate I took an Australian jaunt from Adelaide to Sydney (thanks to Chris K for his fine airport sceneries). Then at FL350 with clear weather I was reminded again of the XP "reality bubble" : inside the bubble nice clear landscape, outside a blurry gunge. I do hope that LR improve this sooner rather than later, as it does somewhat kill the suspension of disbelief and mars an otherwise believable vista.

There is a pay addon available to help with that, don't know if your aware it exists. Here's the link:

I have it, it works ok. Certainly a lot better than the default. Makes flying at higher altitudes a little better.

Not yet, uncheck betas in the installer and it reverts back to 10.11. But probably any day soon, it should go stable.

Mhmm... seems cool! I don't know if LR has plan to fix this...
