For me it is comparable to an FTX airport spread over an entire island at a time, I have Scilly isle, Alderney and Guernsey. For this price they are a no brainer purchase.

I'm considering Shawbury Fields for the size of the coverage, but I've often wondered about their larger GenX products with the added treescapes as well.

Everyone to their own Aaron, but for me personally, I did the whole Horizon scenery with trees autogen and thought it resembled a dog's dinner! Saying that, there are many who would disagree...

I would disagree, Howard :smile: I have all of the PlayHorizon England, Wales, and Scotland photoscenery areas with TreeScapes, and.....whilst there are a handful of what could be termed "dodgy areas" (oversaturated colours/bland textures etc), the vast majority of it is great. It's even better now that I have a nice, shiny PMDG 737NGX in the hangar :cool:

Sorry if I was effectively (and inadvertently!) repeating nonsense about autogen. I really just wanted to make sure these weren't going to mess up my FSX setup. And I'm satisfied! Just purchased all three island sceneries.

Just purchased Alderney and Guernsey. Took me a few minutes to understand the download system. Like the rest of the website, it's rather... interesting. ^_^

Great spot Howard, thanks! I've been looking into picking up some of their addons, mainly Guernsey, and now with a sale at 50% how could I not? Unfortunate that the photo-scenery packages are not instant download, since the disc versions are sold out...I'd buy a few for sure.

 

Now if only I could find a shiny new Q400 to take in there tomorrow..... :wink:

Hi. Chris, my understanding is that the IOM is under development...

I bought the Scilly Isles last year, but it destroyed FSX. Whenever it got to the 80% bar on the loading scenery "Generating Autogen" it crashed out to the desktop. I was presuming this had something to do having Orbx installed as well, as I got it to work once before Orbx was installed. I had to do a full install in the end as I had no idea what it was. I'm guessing it was the autogen descriptions file now. I'll give this another go after backing up FSX. If it works, then I'm jumping in and buying their other Islands.

That's exactly the kind of thing I was asking about. Ouch. Well, so far I don't have any problems. Knock on wood...
